Sketch'N'Stash last Challenge

It turns out that this will be Sketch'N'Stash's last challenge,
so I really wanted to enter - I have enjoyed many of the SNS challenges!

This is the sketch:

and here is my take on it:

I have used Bugaboo's Winter Bird
coloured with Promarkers and Silver stickles.
I used tea dye distress ink (again!) to highlight the layers.
The sentiment is a magazine freebie and the buttons and twine are from my stash
(Of course I had to add googly eyes):

I will link this to Sketch and Stash #155

Hopefully this is a better photo...the colours are more accurate!

New Beginnings Challenge at DLD!

As befitting the date we have a NEW Challenge at Dragons Lair Designs

NEW BEGINNINGS

new baby, new home, new job...

I chose to start with the beginning of a new year and make a calendar -
so watch out for further pages during the year!

I started with 6 blank pages of green card, linked together with green loops plus a little gold ribbon.

I then layered my first page with items from the beautiful new

This was launched yesterday - and currently there is a launch discount...

Remember I did a sneaky peek here and made a flip card...

I used the baby giraffe image from DLD coloured with Promarkers
(caramel, gold, cool grey1 and my favourite tequila sunrise)
with a touch of gold Stickles.
Of course I had to add googly eyes, as they have been a favourite for the last month!

Finally I added the calendar page (distressed with tea-dye) and a bit of glitz from my stash...

I do hope you will join the Challenge!

Happy New Year!

Time to KICK OFF another year!

Wishing all my readers a very happy New Year!!

Hope 2015 brings everything you might wish for...

I like to join in the progressive challenge at Imagine That!
and so I receive a new set of Kris's digis at the beginning of each month.

This is January 2015's:

You will find Football Humphrey here.

I rather liked the sentiment 'Time to KICK OFF another year'.

So first of all I added it to some of the matching papers as an ATC

As you know I often add ATC's as features to my cards - here is my Football Humphrey card:

Basically matching papers, Humphrey and a little tea dye distress ink
(This seems to be permanantly on my desk at the moment!!)

I will link this to Imagine That! SOTM Challenge

Happy Crafting in 2015!

How to link back to Sketch~N~Scrap!

The most important rule when you add one of your creations to Sketch~N~Scrap is to
 LINK BACK!!

This means that from your blog, someone can immediately hop over to Sketch~N~Scrap, using your link.

AND if you don’t LINK BACK then I am afraid your post will be deleted…

 So…how is it done?

Well… here is a card that I made inspired by the December 5th card Sketch –

(it is also great to add the sketch to your blog)

So now I want to link back to Sketch~N~Scrap.

I highlight the part of the sentence that I want to use as the link eg Sketch~N~Scrap

And then hit Link at the top of the screen

A box pops up: Type in (or ‘cut and paste’) the main SNS address: http://sketchnscrap.blogspot.com

Click OK and you have an active link –

When you publish your blog it is a good idea to check that it works!
(Try my link above – just under the photos)

If you do not want your post to be deleted
please make sure this link is on your blog post!

I am using blogger - other sites will have similar methods to link up.

The next step after publishing your post is to link to Sketch~N~Scrap via the Inlinkz button at http://sketchnscrap.blogspot.com

It is also fine to use a gallery just as long as they allow the person to include a link to SNS.

Here is my card posted (with a link) on Flickr and Splitcoaststampers.com

Remember however if you post your project on a site that requires our DT to create an account we may not be able to comment on your project - thanks for your understanding!

The other case where we ask for your understanding is if your blog is in a different language.

Finally, all link ups are moderated and may not appear for 24 hours after submission.
If your link up does not appear after 24 hours, then it may not have contained a link back to our blog, or it may not have followed the challenge guidelines.

As a consequence it may have been deleted.

Try again paying close attention to the challenge rules/guidelines and, if it is not posted within the 24 hour time frame, then email us at sketchnscrap@gmail.com to find out why your link is not showing up.

We look forward to seeing your lovely work!!

Happy Crafting!
