Spring Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop 2019 #1

This is my first post for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

I was just looking back to last year's Fall/Winter Hop and I completed 20 posts, including little competitions and prizes - so watch this space!

My first project was to make some simple, similar cards that could be used as invites for an afternoon tea party...this is the first design:

Recipe:
1. Square white card base.
2. Layer of green then patterned papers from 'Wonderful Sweetness' 12 by 12 paper pad from The Works. These pads are really good quality paper and are very inexpensive!
3. Using the green paper I die cut 'Time for Tea' (Craftstash Apple Blossom die) and added that.

I will link this to the Spring Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

This is my DT make for the May Challenge

This month the theme is 'Feature a Creature'

and

Here's my card for Challenge #53 Feature a Creature.

Using Ellie Elf
and

Basically I chose the badger paper for the colour scheme and featured this mainly on the front... I took a strip from a 12 by 12 and scored is at 2,4,8 and 10 inches. I then cut triangle off each end from half way up the sides to the ends of the mid-section. On folding it looks like this:
I added DP to each section and a pink sparkly washi to each edge. A jingle bell is peeping up through the centre and I added the sentiment on ribbon to tie it all together adding a real jingle bell  to this.

Inside there is a surprise...here is Ellie Elf!!

I coloured the image with Copics and cut her out...

Hope you will join in the challenge!

Patterned Paper May Challenge

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge

Here is my make as part of the Design Team of
 Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge!!

a monthly challenge to encourage crafters to use their patterned paper

Do you know - I have so much patterned paper in my craft room!!

I used paper from a 12 by 12 pad from The Works to make a Peek a Boo card.
This was based on a tutorial from Splitcoaststampers.
The stamp set I have used is Stampin Up's Hey Chick.

I used various nesting dies to make the frames and sentiment tags.

These are pictures of the front:

On opening the sentiment 'you're a good egg' comes into view.

On the back I added the egg image.

Hope you will join the Patterned Paper Challenge!
