I have not tried blogging before so apologies if this is a beginner's attempt! Thought I would just add a few of the crafty things I have done in the last few weeks...

These were the last few Christmas cards I made...



I had various images of snowmen that I wanted to use and Tim Holtz rosettes.

I regularly hold a card making morning for a group of ladies who would like to learn some new ideas/techniques. At the beginning of January the cards I demonstrated were...



The first ones were using an embossing folder straight onto the card and then decorating. The second set were easel cards using a variety of images (using decoupage, resist embossing, colouring and matting).

Today's group again were using an embossing folder straight onto a card and then using a watermark as a background image on a second card. See the pictures on my facebook page!

I am also fond of designing ATC's - small pieces of artwork 2.5 x 3.5 inches. I am part of a UK group who swap a set of these based on a particular theme each month. The December/January theme was 'Tis the Season' and my entry as follows: See my entry on my facebook page!

Creative Hands in Dubai provide some excellent courses and I enjoyed one on techniques using distress markers recently. This was great fun! Here we are playing!!


Some of these techniques were new to me - I intend to use them in future cards e.g. The black one with flowers was made using 'perfect pearls'. When I got home I made the following card...
