Less is More and Colour Swatch

I saw this lovely colour Swatch on Colour Throwdown

In my opinion they definitely suited today - Valentine's day!

I made a One Layer card using these colours:

I masked the rectangular strip and then applied distress inks - 'spun sugar', 'worn lipstick' and 'festive berries' - making a gradation of colour intensity.
I then overstamped, first and second generation, using the Hobbycraft 'one pound' stamp.
Having removed the mask I added one final heart in the dark grey.

I think it makes a lovely CAS card - hope you do too!

Happy Crafting!

  1. Love how you masked that ombre strip, and the hearts over that is gorgeous! Great card!

  2. Gorgeous one layer design! I like the ombre strip of color along the left edge--it makes a great backdrop for the heart image. Thanks for joining us for this week's Color Throwdown!

  3. Susan, your CAS design with the gradient colors is fabulous! So happy to see you in the CTD gallery this week!

  4. Lovely CAs card!! Love the ombré effect! Thxs for joining us at CTD!!
