Well...I survived!! 31 Days of Posting and Hopping - although a few comments were late when I went away for the weekend...

I have really enjoyed seeing everyone's makes - there are certainly some techniques and card ideas I must try - and lots of images now on my wishlist!!

My make for today is my final 'postcard' for the last sleeve of the box album...

This image is from SLSLines Voodoo King Baron Samedi, coloured with Promarkers and distressed with 'Ripe Persimmon'.

I added him to black card along with purple webby lace and feathers...

This can be seen on the SLSLines special Halloween post with some more fabulous makes...

We have already started our Halloween celebrations - Mum and Dad invited a few folk over for dinner last night and we wanted some Halloween decorations...

Carving the pumpkins is always a family affair - after I had cut the tops off and hollowed out the insides (used for some delicious pumpkin soup) I passed on the next stage to daughter Sophie and husband Kevin...mainly because this year's pumpkins were SO hard to cut through - My arms were aching so much by this time!! Kevin resorted to an electric drill!!

And then these are the Brussel Sprouts from the allotment -

 I thought they were very Halloween-y!

 Which brings me on to today's green offerings...

Today is time for a new Challenge at LOC...

and I have used Monster in my closet

This is an ATC for the second side of the green gatefold I showed you yesterday...various matted layers in green, some colour added with Promarkers and some glittery green stickers. I think I have now used all my green web embossed paper (and I am no longer in India to buy more!)

I think the crazy bird's Eek is the reaction to the monster in the cupboard!!

But what is inside the cupboard? Opening the two ATCs shows this spread...

I have added two parts of the little card I made for Day 21 but decided to change the poem...

Today is a Smeared Ink Day - so I had to make a Smeared Ink ATC to go in the centre of here...it's one of my favourite Grumpies!! - coloured with Promarkers, fussy cut, and with a few more sparkly stickers...

To finish I added a sentiment from a Viva Las Vegas stamp, altered to fit...

On my pink page I used a Fresh Brewed Designs image and I noticed on their blog that the current challenge is 'Green Slime' ...I will add this page to the

Fresh Brewed Designs Challenge...

Thursday Digi Project for Little Claire

This is my special Thursday Digi Project for Little Claire!!

Today I have used - digi Christmas Row of Scotties

While posting my last digi make for Little Claire here
 I showed you a very easy way of printing your digi to a different size.

Today I am going to show you a way of resizing your image to a particular size in Word.
I wanted to use the prefolded card bases shown in the picture -
 these make a card 21cm by 8cm.

Open a blank page in Word and click Insert Picture - Find where you have saved your image on your computer.

This brings up the image with a menu box to the side. Click 'See More...' bottom right.

Click 'Size' at the top. This tells you the image is 15.92 by 5.3 cm. We want it a little larger. Make sure that 'Lock aspect ratio' and 'Relative to original picture size' are checked to make sure the picture stays in the same ratio.

Click the up arrow of one dimension to make it larger. The other dimension will increase to match.
I have stopped at about 18 by 6 cm. Click OK to confirm.

This can now be printed this size - It can be moved about and copied and pasted to make better use of the card - but that's another lesson!

I printed it twice to make my two cards...I coloured the images with Promarkers and used some scraps of DP to layer the images.
I added ribbon to the green version and buttons to the blue version...

Actually I feel quite sad - I am almost at the end of my Box Album -
 I hope you have enjoyed it as muuch as I have enjoyed making it...
I believe with things like these the joy is in the making. (My husband says I must have had a lot of joy in this project, considering the amount of time I have spent on it!!)

This is the start of the back side of my last sleeve...

After pink I decided to go green...and today I am showing you the ATC that adorns the right hand flap...the original gate fold that I added to the sleeve was made of green sparkly card.

I have used a Tim Holtz Crazy Bird coloured with Promarkers, fussy cut, and attached to a black card base matted with green spider web embossed paper.

I then added three sparkly green stickers and a chipboard EEK.

This second photo was taken in daylight rather than with flash...

DAY 28 - WE ARE UP TO FOUR WEEKS - ONLY THREE MORE SLEEPS!

We have just been away for the weekend - and enjoyed the amazing autumnal colours - just look at this from Bodnant Garden...

I must admit that these are the sort of colours I go for...
 but today I am going to show you the rest of my 'pink' page...

I have already shown you the two ATCs that are seen when you turn to this page...

But...

These ATCs are both easel ATCs...so the cupcake has a stand...

Cupcake? ... Tea?

This image is Monster in a Teacup from SLSLines coloured with Promarkers
 and added to the pink sparkly paper, with sticker letters.

Boo Who Owl from Fresh Brewed Designs also has an stand - this time it's the sentiment that comes with the owl...with more pink pearls!

This was inspired by the PINK challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers
so I will link my finished page there...
