Sing out, robin; spring out, flowers;

April went with all her showers,

And the world is green again;

Come out, children, to the glen,

To the meadows, to the wood,

For the earth is clean and good,

And the sky is clear and blue,

And bright May is calling you!

On a blessed holiday,

Come out, children, join the play!

WOYWW #725

                      

I have just returned from my holiday in Egypt so am only just getting back into my craftroom but as it is Wednesday I am linking to the Stamping Ground!

SO here's my desk!

I was inspired to make an Egyptian journal page (scroll down to the next post to see more info.)

Apart from that not much crafting has been going on - although I did have a go at carving alabaster

And of course I have some marvellous photos

If you are my friend on Facebook you will have seen many of these!

Even of the towel embellishments in the cruise boat room each night!

By the way I am happy to exchange ATCs with any of you - please let me know - remembering that I am in Australia...

Creative Warriors Inspiration Team - Term 2 Post #18

I have just come back from a fortnight's holiday in Egypt so my journal page today has been inspired by that!

I have combined the face from Charmed

with a patten from  Pattern 3

and cat heads from Cindy Porter's Paper Dolls Animal heads

The page started with acrylics in yellow and blue stencilled with a hieroglyphics - a stencil I recently bought from Stencil girl. 

I added the cats (deified by the ancient Egyptions) on strips of stencilled paper and the pyramids - just shapes of yellow textured cardstock with the slanting wall emphasised with the patterned paper.

I then added the face printed on white card, drawing the shape of the Tutenkhamun mask around it. I painted this with gold shimmery water colour and added further colour with markers. Each item was distressed around the edges with black soot distress ink.

Addicted to Stamps and More - Any Occasion #444

 

The above is my Any Occasion project...for Challenge #444 at Addicted to Stamps and More

I have used a pale green card blank matted with a piece of patterned paper from my Francheville Warlukurlangu Artists 6 by 6 paper pad.

I then die cut the pieces from a piece of old thesaurus paper - Tim Holtz Umbrella Man and Tonic Studios Smile.

A simple card today...

I started with a yellow card base and then my embossed card (Apple Blossom folder). I added brush pens and lost shadow Distress Ink plus black soot around the edges.

I the added the sentiment (LeighSB Designs) and the die cut - not sure of the brand.

Outlawz No Stamp Challenge

This is my card:

I started with a turquoise card blank matted with a paper from my stash.

I then added various die cuts - dies from Apple Blossom and Tonic Studios in another paper from my stash.

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #544

This is today's colour scheme - I tried to use colours similar to Peach, Harbour and Rosemary using Distress Oxides. Spritzing them with water made the blue much bluer. However the Happy diecut (Tonic Studios) is more representative of the colour.

 

I started with a bronze card blank. The stamp is from Bee Crafty . I also added some penwork.

The page started with Distress Oxides in a sort of rainbow. 

I then added the image printed on tissue and fussy cut shapes from different prints to add more colour.

Finally I added paint pens, Stabilo All and  shimmery water colour.
