WOYWW #837

It is Wednesday so I am linking to WOYWW at Sarah's craft shed

Follow the link to find out more about What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #837.

This is how I left my desk on Friday before we set off on a road trip, driving up to Queensland ! The journal page is in my featured post above.

I will definitely be on catch up on ICAD when I get back!

I have been adding maps of where we have been on my index cards but then intend adding embellishments to finish...

I have been doing a little bit of crafting. I had a swap to finish...these are little pockets made after watching this video. I brought a bare minimum of stuff with me as we will  be flying back after handing over the car to Matty in Airlie Beach.

I am sorry I didn't get around to commenting last week. I was either getting ready or on the move. We have not had a lot of internet either. I am hotspotting this on my tablet from my phone which now has a signal as we have reached Emerald.

So far we have driven 2222 kilometres... staying at a different motel each night. The intention is to stay 3 nights at the next place and do a bit of touristing. However we have seen some interesting things en route so far. I have been writing a diary adding pictures gained from tourist leaflets.

I will just add a few pics from our trip here:

Roma - largest bottle tree

Cunnamulla fella

Arrival in Bourke

Cobar mining museum

View of gold/copper mine at Cobar.

Hillston - we have see many real emus too and feral goats...

Cactus garden where I had some delicious cactus cake.

Silo art at Katamatite

These are in reverse order as I can't seem to rearrange on my tablet!

All for now...
Happy WOYWW!

  1. I've never seen an emu that colour (never seen a real one one full stop LOL) or a strawberry that size.

  3. Heavens! What a trip. The emu is amazing (shades of the Cow Parade) and lovely to have a little Road Trip book to document it all. So much fun traveling along with you. And BTW love the red face page at the top - did I say last week? Bears repeating :) Happy WOYWW

  6. What a fabulous road trip you've been on. The photos are so interesting. I like how you are recording it too. I wish I'd thought of adding photos from tourist leaflets to the journals I kept for all the trips we took over the years. The little envelopes are lovely too and I'm impressed you've found any time to craft at all. Safe journey. Elizabeth x #15
