WOYWW #842

It is Wednesday so I am linking to WOYWW at Sarah's craft shed

Follow the link to find out more about What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #842.

I haven't added any posts between last weeks WOYWW and this - I must check that I haven't forgotten anything I was supposed to do! I know I have a couple of ICAD posts to do...

On Michelle's Creative Warriors there is a Junk Journal July Challenge This is the second week: l have managed to do two pages.

Both of these you should be able to see on my desk - amongst the mess. Top of my to do list is to tidy up!

This is the first using images from Confidence

The background is stencilled brickwork and leaves. I added images some of which open to show flowers.

I decided to add extra penwork to the background leaves.

For my second page I used another page in my whimsical journal. I chose a page that looked like  a tree top. To this I used my Gelli plate and a stencil to add leaves - and then added penwork.

I fussy cut some of the leaves from a page in 'Confidence'  to add to this.

The end flips out and I added leaves cut from a Gelli pull - you might be able to see the rest of this on my desk.

I added more leaves and a sentiment.

Michelle Grant has extended the challenge into August so I don't feel so bad about being on catch up.

We have been so busy over the last 6 weeks but the school holidays have now ended so things should get back to normal!

I joined in a Zoom Craft and Chat with UK Stampers network on Friday morning and Mickey showers us how to make a flat mail... it can be used as a letter or for journalling to slip in a journal... It was folded from a rectangle of paper - this was just one that was on my desk.

I added some ephemera inside.

All for now... I am freezing here so all your talk about heart makes me so envious!

Happy WOYWW!

  2. Goodness me! I feel like I have to bookmark this one, there are so many great ideas in it. LOVE that final folded flat mail. So much nicer than the version I have seen before. Fab. And the tags are so so pretty too. Really too much to comment on. Love every bit!
    Happy Knitting Day WOYWW!

  3. I like the old house frontage a lot especially the surprise behind the windows! The flat mail is clever too, don’t think I’d ever make one but I really appreciate the clever design of it. My friends are in Ox for the British Lions tour and they had to buy warm clothing in Perth and Adelaide! They’re up in Queensland now so it’s warmer there.

  6. Hi there Susan! What a very busy desk you have. Temperature in London is just pleasantly warm but skies are grey and gloomy with the occasional sunburst. Is that flat mail supposed to go through the mail? I'd be doubtful.
Your leaf pages are very colourful! Have a good week, love n hugs Cindy #12
