25 Days of Christmas Tags - Day 1

 

This is my third year of participating - I really enjoyed it last year and the year before!

 And when it came to Christmas, I had more than enough tags made!!

It is hosted by Tracey McNeely and you will find the main hop post here
She works really hard to organise this hop and secures many sponsors!

This year I am trying to get started on the first day so I am not on catch up!! 

Each day I will CASE or be inspired by at least one tag...!

  
Here is my first tag...

This year I bought a packet of tags (Ranger) to get me started... so I didn't have to cut a tag for this one!

I was inspired by Cheryl Knutti on Day One illustrated here:

Here is my version:

Recipe:

1. I used a Ranger cream tag as my base
2. I added the foliage and pine cone die cuts from Tim Holtz Festive Greens.
3. The stamp 'Just for You' is from Happy Little Stampers, stamped directly on the tag with black Versafine.
4. Finally I added the ribbon, decorated with a bow.

I'd like to be a teabag...

This is my make for the DT team of Outlawz

 Sunday Songs and Rhymes

The  challenge for this month  is to take inspiration from this poem

 (which was a favourite of my Dad's):

I’d like to be a Teabag

l’d like to be a teabag,
And stay at home all day –
And talk to other teabags
In a teabag sort of way . . .

l’d love to be a teabag;
And lie in a little box –
And never have to wash my face
Or change my dirty socks . . .

l’d like to be a teabag,
An Earl Grey one perhaps,
And doze all day and lie around
With Earl Grey kind of chaps.

l wouldn’t have to do a thing,
No homework, jobs or chores –
Comfy in my caddy
Of teabags and their snores.

l wouldn’t have to do exams
l needn’t tidy rooms,
Or sweep the floor or feed the cat
Or wash up all the spoons.

I wouldn’t have to do a thing,
A life of bliss – you see . . .
Except that once in all my life

I`d make a cup of tea!

I have used Autumn Park Girl

My card is another in a series, having already made these to a similar design:

Again I started with a white card blank matted with the black then a paper from Stampin Up.

This time I just added the Dyan Reaveley edge stamps with a little added colour from markers. 

I added the Lemon Shortbread image coloured with markers and the sentiment words and teabag stamp from Joy Clair.

These cards are all based on ones that I made during the September virtual retreat that I attended - and I had stamped out lots of the edge stamps!

So let's celebrate Halloween!!

I would just like to share the last few pages of my Haunted Houses poem book.

This illustrates the poem Haunted Houses by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

So far you have seen these pages:

Today I have these to share:

The first one has an ATC that I made using an Oddball Art image with some added Tim Holtz stickers - and more of the ghosts.

In this one I wanted to use the shapes in the marbling - this had been my plan from the start but not every page had images I could see!! More ghosts...

The final one and the last two verses of the poem features die cut ghosts and trees, a triple stamped moon (Kitchen Sink stamps) and a stamp from PaperArtsy by Lynne Perrella.

This is my make for this month - it is another in the series, having made the rabbit card for the Color Dare Challenge the other day.

Again I started with a white card blank matted with the black then a paper from Stampin Up.

I added the Dyan Reaveley image and edge stamps with a little added colour from markers. I then cut out the sentiment words and added them randomly down the side.

These cards are based on ones that I made during the September virtual retreat that I attended.
