IKE's CHALLENGE #47

Today I would like to show you my make for Ike's World Challenges!

The current Challenge (#47) is "ATCs with Anything Goes"...and this is my midway post...

As you know ATCs are a favourite art form for me - and I have used a favourite set from Ike - SEA LIFE

I had this lovely 'sea' paper in my stash - I used this for my bases matted onto various snippets from my scraps...

I printed the images on white card and then used a mister spray Mister Huey's "Splash" in my spraying box to add some colour...

As you know I like to play - so my second colour was added using grape juice (I have just been turning our grapes from the allotment into juice)

I cut out each image when they were dry and added them to the bases - along with
(on some) googly eyes - the last of my very tiny ones that I bought in Spotlight in Australia...

And that's my set of Sea Life ATCs...

I hope you will join in the Challenge over at Ike's World

New Challenge at Crafting From The Heart!

Today is the start of our next  CHALLENGE "always anything goes"

We have a great sponsor for you...

Nikki Burnette

and I have used Lexy

I coloured the image with Promarkers and cut it out with a nesting die, distressed with antique linen.

I started with a Kraft card blank matted with a paper from my scraps.
I added a tag from Graphic 45's An Eerie Tale - Beware - ready for a personal message.
To attach the tag I used ribbon and yarn from my stash.

Just a simple card...

Look forward to seeing your makes at Crafting from the Heart!

Second September Inspirational Post using SLSLINES

As I promised earlier, I have a second inspiration post for you this month using a SLSLines images!.

Today I am using Little Man...(pictured with his furry friend!)

I have made a trio of ATCs:

ATCs are such a good way of using up scraps - the base and first layer are all snippets from my scraps - I keep them in colour coded files in my filing cabinet!

I printed the image three times and coloured them in different colourways with Promarkers.
I then added a small tool embellishment to each one...

I will link this one to Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge

I believe my ATCs largely follow this lovely colour combo from Tuesday Throwdown  so

I will link my trio to this challenge...

I will also link it to Beccy's Place September Challenge

LOC #97

The Challenge that starts today at Left of Center
is 'RIP IT UP'
sponsored by ODDBALL ART CO

The image I used was Jack's Box of Horror ..

I love making ATCs - such small pieces of art - and the chance to use up scraps!!
Today I have made an ATC triptych...

I printed three copies of the image and added colour  with Promarkers, ripped them out, distressed the edges with 'Spiced Marmalade' and added googly eyes.

The base is a 7.5 by 3.5 inches rectangle scored to make 3 ATC sized rectangles...matted with distressed scraps...

I added the images with springs!

New Challenge at Create and Inspire

Today another challenge starts at Create and Inspire
Our challenge is "anything goes"

This fortnight we have a great sponsor for you
Morgan's ArtWorld

I was fortunate enough to use  Fairy with Raven

I coloured this with Promarkers, cut it out with a nesting die
and distressed it around the edges.

For the base of my card I used a rectangular white card blank matted with some Hobbycraft paper.

I added webby lace across the bottom and a scatter of buttons.

Do go over to Create and Inspire
and see the other fabulous DT makes.
I look forward to seeing your creations in the Challenge!

Extra September Inspiration for SLSLINES

I have two inspiration posts for you this month using  SLSLines images - this is the first...

This time I wanted to use Goth Girl with Fish Balloon

It made me think of the nursery rhyme 1,2, 3, 4, 5...once I caught a fish alive...

I coloured the image with Promarkers, trimmed it.and then distressed it with 'antique linen'.
I matted this onto a snippet from my scraps...

Finally I added some tiny googly eyes and sticky numbers.

I will link this to Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge

NEW RELEASES FROM SLSLINES

Today I want to spotlight this super new image from SLSLines

This is Book Fairy

You may remember another of my favourite's is Book Lover....

My last make with this was this...

Unfortunately I have no more 3D book embellishments to add to today's simple card...

I coloured the image with Promarkers, and then cut it out with a nesting die, making sure to clip the wings so they would peek out...and then distressed it with 'weathered wood'.

I matted this onto some green polka dot paper, placing ribbon under the wing and tieing an oddment along its length.
I layered this with dimensionals onto a kraft card base matted with more polka dot.

You will find other SLS New Release makes here
