Sneaky Peek of a New Collection in the Dragons Lair

On the first of April a new collection will be launched at

Artistic Expressions

Look at those beautiful colours!!

I was fortunate enough to have a mini kit to play with
- and I'm giving you a sneaky peek!

Like last month I am showing you a tag to whet your appetite...

Can you think where I might be using it?

I used a sissix die to cut out three tags from a piece of an Artistic Expressions paper, adding 'April' to the largest one, and then combining them with a brad and some little charms.

Do take a look at Dragons Lair Designs for this new launch and all the other lovely designs!

And don't forget to look for the new Challenge on April 1st ...

Another Easter Bunny!

Just before we set off on holiday I saw this freebie from Gerda Steiner

another cute little Bunny...

Anyway I printed it off and brought it with me - we are on holiday in Australia - at the moment in a holiday house in East Gippsland - near where my youngest son and family live.

Obviously I haven't got many crafting materials with me...

So with just a couple of blendable pencil crayons and a fineliner I added colour and some 'zentangling' to the image...

Had I been at home I would have added this to one of my teeny tiny A7 cards - remember my other little bunnies?

Anyway - all I had to hand was a small square card blank - and I had to handwrite the sentiment! But I did have some bunny pegs...

I will link this to Gerda Steiner's Share your Designs

I was not really happy with my handwriting so I decided to 'zentangle' it to match the image...

Here it is without the pegs...

But I would also like to show you my granddaughter Jasmine (7)'s version

Here she is with some more of her Easter craft...

And here is Isabell (3)'s version.

(I helped with the cutting out!)

and here is our little fairy...

Hope you have had a happy Easter...and

March Inspiration at SLS Lines - Chocolate Monsters!

Here is my inspiration post for you this month using an SLSLines image.

Today I am spotlighting the  Cute Monsters set.

I have made these into CHOCOLATE monsters...printing them on Desert Storm Neenah, cutting them out and just painting on some spritzed brushed corduroy distress ink to add smears of 'chocolate'.

I have made a chocolate monster pocket letter.

So each monster was made into an ATC, layered onto snippets of brown card, elements from a Kanban KIt, some wrinkle free distress backgrounds and some SU sentiments, each distressed around the edges with brown ink.

It is difficult to photograph in the pocket - especially as the light had gone - but I am adding a few more photos to give you more idea.

We have a fabulous sponsor for you...

Karleigh Sue

I have used Ashley Amber, coloured with Promarkers to
make an ATC:

The background is brown card matted and layered matted with a couple of Kanban elements from their card kits. Plus a little bling!

LOC Challenge #123

Today a new Challenge #123 starts at Left of Center
 'Sparkle'.

Our sponsor is Lacy Sunshine

I am using

Emily's lil bunnies

And I made a carrot - using orange card, a sparkly green card and ribbon from my stash.

This is thanks to a blog post I came across when I was commenting - find it here...there's an tutorial by Susanne at Stempeleinmaleins.

I then attached the image coloured with Promarkers...

Looking forward to seeing your LOC /Sparkle make!

Happy Carrot making!

Rudolph Days Challenge

I am still trying to keep to my resolution to make 3 Christmas cards per week
so I don't have to go mad in November!

Entering challenges like the Rudolph Days Challenge helps...
so here's my entry...

I am currently on the train to Heathrow - to spend Easter with family in Australia - so not sure when I will be able to link this...

However...

My niece recently gave me a bag of craft stuff that was surplus to her requirements- she is moving house.  This aperture  card base and DP were in the bag. I adhered the DP behind the aperture and the image on top...

The image is one of Bugaboo's birds -  Winter scarf.

The final touch was to add some embossed ornaments.

I will link this to the March  Rudolph Days Challenge

Thursday Blog Project for LC Designs - little Easter treat box

Today I am showing you my Thursday Project for LC Designs

I am spotlighting

Here is my project - a little Easter gift box

Instructions

This can be made with just one piece of A4 card, a piece of ribbon, 2 irresistible images, two buttons and your favourite stamp and ink pad...

With the card longest side along your scoreboard, score the sheet of card at 2, 5, 7 and 10 inches.Turn the card and score at 1, 3 and 7 inches.

The ares with scribble on will be discarded.

Take your favourite stamp and ink pad - I used 'Almost Amethyst' and a little stamp from one of my LC Designs Sets - and stamp randomly over the card.

Remove the excess pieces of card, cut the slits along the bottom, use a corner rounder on the top flap, cut small triangles of the edge flap and you should end up with this:

Assemble the box , glueing together the sides and the bottom. for the bottom, first fold in the small flaps, then the large ones. Punch two holes in the top flap, mark where they match the box with a pencil and make holes in the box side:

Place the images on front and back - and I added butterfly buttons.
Thread a ribbon through the holes and tie...

Fill it up with some treats for Easter!!

Don't forget the current LC Designs Challenge!!

From the Heart Challenge #144

I have discovered another From the Heart Digi.

I am using Easter Eggs coloured with Promarkers and the sentiment
'Hip Hop Hooray, Easter's on its way!'.

I was thinking Easter eggs, bunnies, bonnets...
and then I saw that the twist is for a Masculine card...

so instead of Easter bonnets I used some bowler hat and pocket watch paper -
I think it was from Hobbycraft. I cut out a couple of the hats and added them to the eggs.
The strip is a snippet from a Kanban card kit.
