Digital Layout

This weekend I drove down to stay with my daughter -
and on the Saturday we drove over to Norfolk to sea the seals at Winterton on Sea.
At this time of year that coast is the home of many seal and their new pups...

I have just made a very quick layout using a paper and a frame from

Snow Dayz
(I am not sure if this is available at the moment)

I have used Serif Craft Artist 2 and a few photos taken on the beach...

This is my third layout to link to Digitally Sweet Challenges #156

Ike's World Challenges #77

Today I would like to show you my make for Ike's World Challenges!

The current Challenge (#77) is "Thanksgiving"...and this is my midway post...

I made a 'Happy Thanksgiving' card...
if you pop over to Ike's World Challenges you will find there is a super freebie to pick up:

Turkey Dinner

Using Serif Craft Artist 2, I combined a frame,

a background and the image, added the sentiment and then printed it out.

I then used Promarkers to colour the image.

Look forward to seeing your creations in Challenge #77...

Happy Crafting!

Wicked Wednesday #237

Just a quick post to share an ATC I've made for
Cinderella

I started with a 2.5 by 3.5 rectangle of gold card matted with
a pink background from Glitteratti on which I had printed the Dragons Lair Designs
retired dancers image.

I then added a wooden clock, ribbon and shoe.

I will link this to Wicked Wednesday #237

Challenge #158 at LOC

Challenge #158 starts today at LOC  "Fair Maidens"

Our sponsor is MoonFlower

I have used Vampire Countess to make a trio of ATCs.

I coloured the printed images in three different colourways with Promarkers.
Having trimmed to the correct size,
I distressed each image with 'Brushed Corduroy' and then matted them on gold card.
I then added different embellishments to each one...

Looking forward to seeing your makes in the LOC challenge!

Ready for some inspiration? Here we go!
I have used two stamps from

I wanted to make a CAS card to really show off the stamps - so first of all I used a brayer to add SU Garden Green ink to some white card, I then cut two strips to add to a cream card base.

I used Mowed Lawn Distress Ink to distress around the edges and stamped the images with black Versafine. Finally I added red liquid pearls to the holly berries.

(Don't forget to comment below to be included in the prize draw)

Now hop on to Stephanie's...

Happy Hopping!!

Imagine That Digistamps Challenge Midway post

Here's my next inspiration post as a member of the Dynamite Delights DT of

This is a reminder post for the current challenge over at

Christmas is Coming

This challenge runs November 5 - December 2

I have made a little gift sleeve using the Sissix 3D Canning Jars die.

I have had this super Santa Penguin on my worktable for days
waiting to be coloured. I also had the precoloured version...

This image was offered as a freebie on Imagine That! Digistamps
on
***FREEBIE FRIDAY***
Everyone once Kris is going to offer a freebie on Friday,
so you'll want to follow the blog so you don't miss out!!

Today I have used the precoloured version, cut out,
and with some added glitter glue!
I printed out two of the pages from Snowy Overlay Papers

I used these to make a Canning Jar with a piece of ribbon to tie it together.

I then added the image - and made a tag with a little piece of the DP.

Hope to see your make in the Challenge!

Wicked Wednesday #236

Last week I started to make a couple of ATC bases - white card layered with strips of blue card and then a snippet of DP that was lying on my worktable.
I made this ATC...

Today I have finished the second...

I just added buttons, ribbon, a snowflake and a hat - this just turned up on my worktable - I think actually it is a japanese dress that was on a phone tag...the other side is more colourful! The white buttons tend to look a different colour in the photos - they are quite alike in reality!

I will link this to Wicked Wednesday #236 - Winter

Ike's world Challenges #76

Today I would like to show you my make for Ike's World Challenges!

The current Challenge (#76) is "Military Tribute"...and this is my midway post...

Our village has been yarn bombed for Remembrance Day...

These lovely poppies have been made by lots of local people.
I would love to say that I had made some of them - but the last time I participated in a Yarnscape was in 2013!

I wanted to follow the Remembrance and poppy theme -
if you pop over to Ike's World Challenges you will find there is a super freebie to pick up:

Poppy Wreath

I coloured this with Promarkers and decided to use it in a layout.

I wanted to use some photos of the 'Weeping Window' at Caernarfon Castle,
taken this week by my friend Ioan.

Caernarfon Castle is the first location in Wales to host Poppies: Weeping Window  by artist Paul Cummins and designer Tom PiperPoppies: Weeping Window is a cascade comprising several thousand handmade ceramic poppies, and was originally seen pouring from a high window to the ground below at the Tower of London as part of the installation Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red.
This was the paper layout I made a couple of years ago showing photos of the Tower of London installation.

My layout today is digital using Serif Craft Artist 2.
I started with a grey background and added the photos and wreaths.

Originally I added frames around the photos
but I decided I preferred the stark look without them.

I added the words from the poem

For the Fallen

by Robert Laurence Binyon (1869-1943), published in The Times newspaper on 21st September 1914.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.

Look forward to seeing your creations in Challenge #76...
