Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media July Challenge

I have added a month to my Mixed Media Calendar.
I have been making this for a several years now...
The base is a piece of plywood 'burned' with electricity
as detailed here in my blog in November 2015.
I painted around the edge with black gesso.

I added square cards using rings at the top.
These cards will flip over for successive months.
I added a calendar pad at the bottom.

For this July my card has a circle of newspaper pieces.
I was inspired by some artwork by Jiri Kolar that I saw in the Prague National Gallery, which I visited a fortnight ago when I was on holiday in Prague.

I arranged circles of circular pieces cut from a newspaper and then covered them with a border of yellow card which had had a circle die cut from it.

On this circle I placed a rectangle of purple - on this I added an oval of yellow from which I had cut July - a Tim Holtz die.

Finally I added the man with umbrella (Tim Holtz die) and the sun - an unbranded die.

Hope you will join the challenge!!

Happy Crafting!

  4. We've been needing the umbrella - so
terribly hot the past few weeks.
Having a break for a couple days and
    then the heat returns. Great
    page for your calendar.
    thanks for sharing.
