Recently I announced that I have joined
the Design Team at Oddball Art Stamps!
Last week I made a card with the March Challenge in mind, today I am hoping to inspire you with cards using the image Cute Big Eye Owl on Tree Branch #58.
I started by making my backgrounds. I used four distress inks and smeared them across a Stampin Up tree embossing folder.
I found it best to just smear in one direction - horizontally across the folder. I then placed a square of white card in the folder and rolled it through the Big Shot.
I trimmed each background, distressed it around the edges with 'brushed corduroy' and added it to a white card base, layered it on a square of paper from my stash.
I printed the image three times, once as it comes and twice flipped, colouring them all with Copics and then cutting them out.
I added these to the cards along with a sentiment - I printed these with the computer and then used a Hero Arts frame stamp and framelit around each one. Again I used the 'brushed corduroy'. 'Owl always love you' is a Imagine That! Digistamps sentiment but I just typed the others. Finally I added the pearls.
