 A new Christmas Challenge every Saturday!

Today Crafty Hazelnut brings a new weekly Christmas Challenge

with the theme 'Use some green'.

Do pop over and see the fabulous inspiration from my teamies!

I printed the image (Skinny Snowman from Stamp on It) and added a little green and shading with markers.

I trimmed this to fit a pale blue glossy card blank, adding faux stitching around the edges with a fineliner. I added 'Happy Happy' - stickers from an Art by Marlene sticker book.

So what's on my workdesk? 

On my desk you can see... a mess! There are a few new pens and a cluster of ATCs. These are for Sue McClelland's  ATC swap - a monthly swap that I have managed to enter every month since May 2011. It is really for UK folk so I have had to use a UK address for my returns and keep a collection of UK stamps.

And in the utility...

I am in the process of completing Week 3 of Wanderlust - I started late this year! I have managed to do Week 1

And Week 2. This started by producing collage fodder and then using it in a landscape.

Mine turned out a lot less abstract than the tutor's - but I was inspired by a favourite place...

We have just come in from having dinner in the garden - a group of ducks joined us!

Creative Warriors Inspiration Team - Post #3

This is my next inspiration for the Creative Warriors Inspiration Team 2022 - Term 1

I have been working on a Mash-Up using Cindy's pre-coloured animal heads

and Michelle's Shadows.

I made the paper dolls first using Gelli Pulls to make the bodies.

I then made a background using acrylics on the inside cover of my large junk journal.

The quote is from David Lynch.

I thought this was rather busy so I made a page inside the journal just using 3 of the paper dolls. The background is collage, acrylics and gold ink splatters.

This time the sentiment is 'Be the Best Version of You'.

The Brook in February

I have used In My Garden on my card.

I think the poem predicts the coming of Spring...

I printed the image and coloured it with markers.

I trimmed this and added it to a grey card base.

CHNC challenge 582 for 19 February 2022 - use some gold

 A new Christmas Challenge every Saturday!

Today Crafty Hazelnut brings a new weekly Christmas Challenge

with the theme 'Use some gold'.

Just a very simple card to day - using a gold striped card blank (Stampin Up), I just added three gold stickers and a die cut, cut from a gold patterned paper.

Color Dare Challenge #484

This is my make for the

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge DT

This is today's colour scheme - I have made card using colours from the middle row and middle column.

Recipe:

I used a yellow dotty card blank with a strip of gold card with another of yellow dot to the right hand side.

I cut several die cut hearts in the other colours to add to this strip.

I then stamped directly the Stampin Up sentiment.

So what's on my workdesk? 

On my desk you can see my journal pages as a result of a workshop with Natalie May

I was just at the stage of adding the sentiment here.

Behind the journal is a box of Copic inks - I was very pleased to find most of these at 50c (25p) each in a charity shop!

My journal page ended up like this:

I also did the Tracy Weinzapfel wokshop that I noticed on Facebook.

Valentine's Day is also our Wedding Anniversary (46 years this year) - so I always like to add lots of hearts in my February posts!

Kevin chose beer for our toast this year (last year my choice - bubbles!)

The garden has been different this year - this time last year we had a wonderful harvest of figs - and you remember the parrots eating the peaches? This year we have had neither a fig or a peach. 

The agapanthus are now past their best but I still like how they look:
