I found this lovely image as a freebie on Conjuror of Dreams Inspiration Group

Find their etsy shop here

I used it to make a book mark and an ATC

On the ATC I added a little book that I made out of bookpaper and a cover from my stash.

The current challenge at Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge is 'Book It!' soI will add this ATC there...

Creative Warriors Inspiration Team - New Term #9

This is my next inspiration for the Creative Warriors Inspiration Team

with Michelle Grant Designs

You will see our inspirational creations on the Facebook Group

Once again I am using this book I found in a charity shop for free - with lovely thick old pages. I have made a journal page using the papers and flowers from Flow

This was made up of lots of layers:

1. Collage

2. Gesso - I forgot to save as a png in this photo so I got the google shimmers...

3. Stamps ( Art by Marlene)

4. More collage - blooms printed on tissue  - from my MGD scrap drawer.

5. Stencil - Bee Arty

6. More brayered Gesso.

7. Fussy Cut flowers around the outside.

8. Flowers water-coloured with shimmery paints.

9. Stabilo All around the border and Distress ink around the outside.

10. White penwork.

11. The next step was the sentiment which I wanted to put inside - but I decided to add a little cartoon of Frida Kahlo.

12.  I forgot to mention gold splatter...

WOYWW #797

It is Wednesday so I am linking to WOYWW at Sarah's craft shed

Follow the link to find out more about What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #797 and my desk...

ooh... 797 is the 139th prime and 139 is also a prime...

Another interesting fact (?) is that this is the first post on my blog since WOYWW #796 which is very unusual! It's making me wonder whether I have forgotten something!

On my desk there are several projects on the go - two small canvasses,  a Birthday card, an upcycled box, some corrugated cardboard with a little gesso waiting for something else.
Not a lot finished!
On my desk easel is the journal page I made for last month's Gecko Galz Gothic Challenge. I had to hide the new journal page that was on there as that has to be blogged tomorrow.

The featured post displays a card I made for the Once Upon a Time Challenge - this was before I found out how to not get the shimmery photos that google was producing!

Something else I haven't shared is my set of prompt cards (a suggestion in the virtual retreat I joined a couple of weeks ago). These cards are all ATC size with backgrounds found amongst my scraps...

Well the weather here has not really turned Spring-like yet - it has just started to torrentially rain...so it is still jigsaw time. This one was mainly done by daughter Sophie but I finished it off:

That's all from me today - hope to catch up with you all later!

Happy WOYWW!

WOYWW # 796

It is Wednesday so I am linking to WOYWW at Sarah's craft shed

Follow the link to find out more about What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #796 and my desk...

You can a journal page on my desk easel - this was based on a workshop by Sheila Jordan in the UK Stampers Network Zoom Craft and Chat.
Basically Sheila suggested how to do a background with torn papers, gesso and stamping.
Mine produced these ATCs

and the journal page. The first picture shows the background.

In the front I am making some cards using the Visible Image stamp set 'Ride The Waves'.

Talking of waves, we have had some horrendous weather over the last few days. I saw these photos on Facebook of Mornington Pier - just a little way down the peninsular.

That's all from me today - hope to catch up with you all later!

Happy WOYWW!
