Follow the link to find out more about What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #829
I have been stamping some images for a swap so you can see them all drying all over my work table.
At the front you can see a scraper that I picked up in a paint shop (decorating paint) which I think will be useful for applying texture paste to a stencil. Can you spot anything else?
My monochrome journal page ended up like this:
This was the original photo of my Grandma, Grandad, Mum and sister - apparently my Mum was very proud of the pram...
These are this week's faux stamps which are on one of the easels.
What else have I been doing?
These are two of my scrappy dolls...
Remember those junk journals I made with the grey fabric covers?
This is the cover I made for them - each signature is just tied in with ribbon so that I can still take them out and easily add to them.
Some scrappy belly bands to add to junk journals:
Tomorrow is the start of another virtual retreat - and so far there has been three pre-challenges. The monochrome journal page was one. This next journal page is inspired by my home. Firstly I stitched some scraps from my quilting stash onto a denim page.
I then added 'foliage' and houses. Because we live alongside bush and the Botanic Gardens it is not unusual to see a wallaby or bandicoot - a koala is rare. But we are overrun with rabbits!
(By the way today I saw a large Huntsman spider in our letterbox...)
This second one was a Zentangle postcard featuring who is the boss in our house...
So Easter came and went - do you like my earrings?
But that's all for now... hope to comment on you all this week. Last week just flew by and it is Wednesday again before I knew it!
What a fabulous array of artistic endeavours on your blog today Susan. Loving the earrings too. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah
ReplyDeleteAre the houses from a Fodder School class? Had a look, nothing jumps out. I have only 1,2, and 3! That photo is wonderful and is it image transfer? The scrappy dolls are fab too - so cute. Loving all you faux postage. Useful and creative in equal parts!
ReplyDeleteProblems commenting so being brief, but Happy WOYWW!

I spy some new ink sprays on your desk! Your desk is very creatively messy today, look at all those images! I love the rabbit one. When postage was cheaper I used to swap images all the time! You have been working hard on those journal covers, brilliant! Have a wonderful week, Lindart #13☺️
ReplyDeleteThe rabbit is a Noolibird stmp.
DeleteSorry I'm late had to go into town this morning so on catch up now. That is a very busy desk today. There's lots going on here today and I love the scrappy dolls, gorgeous. Wishing you a happy creative woyww. Hugs Angela x8x
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely lot of projects you've been working on. That photo took me back to the days when those prams were the vogue! My mum would have been proud too. Your scrappy dolls are gorgeous - love them! Much as I like our little British spiders, the one in your letterbox sounds more than a bit scary. The earrings are great - a real Easter treat! Have a great week. Elizabeth x #11
ReplyDeleteLovely projects on view - you might have taken a picture of the spider! Apparently their legs can grow very long indeed, up to 11 inches! I have just seen an advert for them as pets!
ReplyDeleteI love the running rabbit stamp on you desk. Happy WOYWW. Angela #14
The spider shot off out of sight too quickly!
DeleteMore scrappy dolls, love them. Adore the fabric cover too. Hugs from an extremely late and exhausted BJ after Faith Fest this past week! #6
