WOYWW #855

Follow the link to find out more about What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #855.

At the front of my desk - right is the start of a Busted canvas; left is a Halloween thingy I am making.

On my desk easels you can see a recent journal page and two use up pages drying. I put out two much red when I was painting my toadstools 🍄 🍄 🍄!

This one used a Conjurer of Dreams image - from the Progressive Challenge on Facebook.

I haven't done much this week - I had a procedure last Thursday with an anaesthetic which really washed me out. I am only just beginning to come round - but had no energy or inclination to do much other than jigsaw...

The impossible jigsaw...

Yes it is finished!!

This is my next one but I haven't even opened the box yet - I am still admiring the above!!

I got this one from a charity shop so it was cheap but I imagine to start off with it was very expensive as it came from the Australian Parliament House.

I have just been to the post box and found lots of happy mail.

These were from a friend with whom I share a monthly ATC swap.

Next I received a Diwali card. I am taking part in  Diwali card swap with the UK Stampers Network. So far I have received 3.

Next was this fabulous Halloween card - another UKSN swap - So far I have received 4 Halloween cards.

Next was an Australian swap  - a collaboration of 9 people's work. Mine is top left and the theme was spring flowers.

Finally I received this month's Visible Image swap.

What a lot of lovely post!!

All for now...
Happy WOYWW!

  2. You are a glutton for punishment when it comes to jigsaws!! I am full of admiration for your resilience and dedication in getting them done, you certainly don’t choose easy! Love seeing all your art and swaps, how lovely to get so much happy mail. Hope you’re feeling a bit better now, anaesthetic takes it out of you, rest up!

  7. Oh that is a lovely bunch of pieces to receive all at once, bet you're still admiring and examining them all! Golly the work in that Halloween card is amazing! Well done on the puzzle....I think the next one looks genuinely impossible, how very challenging. I hope you're feeling better now...my ENT surgeon told me that he would ideally like a week of recovery for every hour of anaesthesia, so am not surprised that you've felt a bit off, it's more normal than medics generally have us believe!

  8. WOW difficult puzzle with 5 extra pieces too!!! I have mine out for post-op but no op for me last week in the end due to the horrid cough I still have! Know what you mean about being washed out by anesthetic though...Super charity find, another challenge there it would seem. Loving all the ATCs and the sunflower is gorgeous. Hugs BJ#9

  9. Wow - what a lot of swaps! reminds me of the old days when postage was cheap, we could even do round robins with books! The coke puzzle does look very challenging, but then so does your next one! Have fun! ❤️Lindart #14

  11. Good morning, Susan!
I love seeing all of your happy mail. Just what you needed after your procedure. Pretty puzzles. My mom and I used to work puzzles every winter. I keep saying I'm going to do one... maybe a goal for 2026.
Hope this finds you more like yourself.
