ICAD 2026 part 2

My next long challenge, ICAD,  has started. This time last year we were driving up from Victoria to Queensland so I had to join in with ICAD en route! This year I seen to have just as little time - we have been away the last three weekends! So my makes have ranged from just an image to something more creative!

This is this year - the first month's themes and the themes for the whole 9 weeks.

I have done the next few days, following the prompts but not necessarily the theme.

Day 9 - charm

The background is just watercolour added using a large round brush to create a speckled effect.
I then added a chain with three charms. I wrote the words "Three Times a Charm".

Day 10 - birch or gingko

This is just a collage of scraps showing birch trunks and leaves, ginkgo leaves.

Day 11 - glossy

My idea was to use yupo paper with alcohol inks, topped with dimensional dot paint to spell glossy. However my dots ran into each other with time - so I had another go. This time the background has fractals. The dots were a little better.

Day 12 - orchestra

I added a French horn to a music paper collage using Canva. I then added the quote printed on the computer.

Day 13 - lucky

This is a postcard from Vintage Image Craft. I added the quote printed on the computer.

Day 14 - serene

I used a stamp from Stampin Up for the trees and then added watercolour. The quote is from a book from an op shop.

Day 15 - atrium

I wanted to adda photo of the atrium at the NGV, Melbourne which has a wonderful stained glass ceiling. However despite knowing I have one somewhere I couldn't find one. This is the atrium from the Sofitel, Melbourne.

Day 16 - fig

I saw a picture of a fig and a half online so made an attempt to drawing and colouring it. I used Art by Marlene markers.
