ICAD 2026

My next long challenge, ICAD,  has started. I started taking part in this is 2021. This photo show my last five years.

This is this year - the first month's themes and the themes for the whole 9 weeks.

I have done the first few days, following the prompts but not necessarily the theme.

Day 1 - surfboard

The sea is a Visible Image stamp in blue distress ink,
the surfer a Stampin Up stamp in Versafine Clair and embossing powder.
The sand is texture paste through a stencil, followed by yellow distress ink.

Day 2 - type

This is just a collage of scraps from Graphic 45 Typography.

Day 3 - magnolia

I drew this and painted it with watercolours.

Day 4 - yearbook

I used a collage of photos and then added some penwork and colour with Art By Marlene markers.

Day 5 - trace

I used an image from my stash and then a layer of printed vellum. I traced through this with a fineliner.

Day 6 - scarlet

I used an image from my stash and then a layer of printed vellum. I traced through this with a fineliner.

Day 7 - seahorse

I used a sparkly card base followed by a die cut oval (trimmed to fit) with colour added using distress inks. The seahorse is a Lavinia stamp embossed in black.

Day 8 - coneflower

I used various papers pieces on the base distressed with vintage photo.
I added flowers I painted with watercolour and cut out.
I added clumps of tiny beads to the centres.
