Crafty Hazelnut's Weekly Challenge #385 - Add at least one tree

a new Christmas Challenge every Saturday!

Today Crafty Hazelnut brings a new weekly Christmas Challenge

with the theme 'Add at least one tree'

Here is my card:

This pop-up tree card is based on an idea I saw on the internet - I am always looking out for designs that might be good to use with kids...
I started with a 6 by 8 inch cream card base and cut out squares of green card with sides 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1.5 inches. I folded each square in half and then the outside corners down to form triangles. These were then adhered in place to form a tree with a star at the top and a pot for it to stand in (two hearts that were lying on my table).
Finally I added some gems.
