House of Cards September Challenge

Welcome to the House of Cards September Challenge!
is
Birthday Theme and/or Colors

Create a card featuring your favorite birthday theme, or use this happy color palette to show us your ideas for late summer fun!

I found a paper in the 'Wonderful Sweetness' paper pad from The Works which virtually matched the colour swatch and I set about making a 'pull out concertina' card - something I had seen an example of online...not sure where so I devised my own idea!!

I though this would make a lovely Birthday card!!

This is how it comes out of the envelope - but pull on the ribbon and the concertinas open showing lots of tea party scenes...

The base is a 6.25 in square on white card matted with a 6 in square of pink.
I tucked one square of each of my concertina pieces under this on each side - strips from a 12 by 12, 2 in wide and scored at every 2in making strips of 6 squares folded backward and forward. Only 5 squares are visible from each strip.
I then decorated the base and squares with the patterned paper.

I then added two strips of card fastened in the middle with a brad, and with the ribbon, to stick across the top squares on each side. I then tied the ribbon.

If you want to see a video of me playing with this card, look here!

Hope to see you make in the challenge!

Happy Crafting!!
