Patterned Paper Challenge June 2019

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge

Here is my make as part of the Design Team of
 Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge!!

a monthly challenge to encourage crafters to use their patterned paper

It is my Mum and Dad's Platinum Wedding Anniversary next week - 70 years!

My sister has made a cake

She asked me to make a card to place to one side of the flowers - so I though maybe a watering can... Mum and Dad have always been gardeners...

The photo is of them shortly before they were married...

I used paper from a 12 by 12 pad from The Works - Trendy Blue Lifestyle.
The card is based on a Decorative Corner Card demonstrated in a tutorial from Splitcoaststampers.
I added the handle and spout using nesting oval dies to make the handle.
I stuck these on the grey base before adding the sections of heart paper.
Finally I added the oval and photo.

My plan was to make a matching card to give them on Tuesday - here it is using papers from the same paper pad.

I spotted this brilliant sketch from the current Outlawz Sketch Challenge and used it for this card...excellent sketch for using up scraps!! I will link the card to this Challenge.

Hope you will join the Patterned Paper Challenge!

And they were delighted to get a card from the Queen!

After the party...

Happy Crafting!
