I am glad Sophie is now settled - and crafting! I've never heard of polystyrene being dissolved in acetone to reduce volume for landfill... not sure we'd be able to do that here. Good luck with the new Wanderlust year. I will watch from the sidelines, I didn't sign up. I did watch a re-run of Niamh's class though - love your piece. Happy WOYWW Helen #2
ReplyDeleteAlways love to see what you're up to. Looks like you've had a busy week and hope you have a good woyww. Hugs Angela x7x
ReplyDeleteOh dear. Don't make the mistake of mixing it with petrol or you'll make napalm :D Don't ask... Lovely to have helpful parents nearby. I love your NB class pages too. She was my go-to watch when treadmilling. So inspiring!

Yes acetone is ok... mixing with petrol definitely a no no ... Makes a very flammable mixture! Don't think we will do it again though. Cost too much in acetone.
DeleteHappy New Year Susan. My, that is a lot of cardboard! Mind you we are the same here? Love your new beginnings page and Sophie's bunny is cute! Have a good week, love and hugs Cindyxx #11
ReplyDeleteI really like the promise that the New Beginnings journal holds, you can go anywhere with that in front of you! The cardboard made me smile as did you modelling the new bed!! Glad Sophie is in ok, hope she’s really happy in her new place xx

Love Sophie’s bunny, I am amazed she managed to fit in some crafting! Happy WOYWW. Angela #13
ReplyDeleteBeautiful journal pages and you've certainly bee busy getting Sophie settled. She's made a wonderful bunny. A good read about the polystyrene too - I hate the stuff. Happy WOYWW - Michelle #15
ReplyDeleteLovely journal pages. A interesting start, for potential journeys. Glad Sophie is settled and her bed tested😀.I’d be careful using a lot of acetone as it’s a respiratory irritant.
ReplyDeleteLove Sophie’s rabbit.
Happy WOYWW

Hi, Susan! Your journal pages are awesome! It's so rewarding being close by to help your kids along the journey.
ReplyDeleteWe started composting our cardboard. I average five to ten cardboard box deliveries per day from Amazon. The Hubster breaks them down, shreds them and then adds them to the composter. My garden and my house plants have benefitted greatly.
I will have to check out those journaling classes you mentioned. I would love to level up!

Happy New Year! Good on Sophie, in and sorted - what are parents for huh! My word it takes a lot of cardboard doesn't it! Interesting to reduce the polystyrene by volume, it's a swine of a material isnt it. Hope Sophie will be comfy and happy in her new place! Am impressed that you're starting up with Wanderlust again, you seem to have a lot of daily weekly type commitments, gives me the shivers! Particularly love the journal pages and your theme...again, sort of fills me with shivers!!
ReplyDeleteOh what a cutey bunny love him and your journal pages are super too. Hugs BJ#3
