Bubbly Depths Blog Hop #13

This is my next post for LeighSBDesigns' Bubbly Depths Blog Hop

My daughter and I spotted a die we liked online from 4enscrap.
It just arrived in time for this hop and this is what we made:

In this one we folded a piece of card in three and die cut the die from the middle section.
We placed some alcohol background between the die cut and the first section.
Sophie then stamped a few seahorses (Stampin' Up)

In the second one I just ran the die through the Big Shot on the front of a pre-coloured card blank (Stampin' Up). I decided just to leave it as is...

I will add these to Leigh's Linky

Bubbly Depths Blog Hop #12

This is my next post for LeighSBDesigns' Bubbly Depths Blog Hop

Have you seen today's Google picture? Maybe it is just for Australia... I thought it was quite appropriate...
Wilhelmina "Mina" Wylie was one of Australia's first two female Olympic swimming representatives, along with friend Fanny Durack. Wikipedia
She would have been 130 today.

Again I am using my Cricut and I am using these svgs from LeighSB Designs

Look at these lovely nets from this too:

In my last post I showed you this:

But these inner pages actually fold out...in the next section on the right hand side I have already put Merwitch on a We Are 3 page - this was upcycled from a former card!

The next photo shows how the pages fold out to 3 sections.

So to show you how far I have got now:
I put the larger net on this page -

I then used similar cut outs to the right hand side to make the left hand side.

But this time I just added two pieces to each fold and then added various die cuts.

Opening out one fold:

Opening out both folds:

Folding back to show another side:

I will add this to Leigh's Linky

Outlawz Sunday Songs and Rhymes - When I am an old woman I shall wear purple...

This is my make for the DT team of Outlawz

June 27th - July 10th

Sunday - Songs and Rhymes

For the month of July our sponsor is: Sheep Ski Designs with a prize of 2 images!

https://www.etsy.com/shop/SheepSkiDesigns

Note:  The theme doesn’t have to be taken literally.  You may use any word or phrase out of it for your project.

Find inspiration in the song or rhyme:

Warning
Jenny Joseph

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn’t go, and doesn’t suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we’ve no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I’m tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick flowers in other people’s gardens
And learn to spit.

You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
And eat three pounds of sausages at a go
Or only bread and pickle for a week
And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes.

But now we must have clothes that keep us dry
And pay our rent and not swear in the street
And set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.

But maybe I ought to practise a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.

This is one of my, and my Mum's, favourite poems - and when my Mum and Dad's house was cleared, it was one of the books I retained...

I have made an easel ATC. I started with a strip of purple card 7 inches by 2.5 inches and scored it at the 1.75 and 3.5 inch marks along the long side. This can be folded up to make the stand. I then added an ATC on the easel.

I used scraps of purple paper to mat the base. I put the first few words of the poem on more card and paper and placed this on dimensionals to hold the ATC up.

The image is Coffee Break printed ATC size, and coloured with markers.

Hope you will join in the challenge...

Recap of ICAD 20 - 27

Another post for Effy's Blog Along - just another recap of ICADS to date!

June 20th - Playing with papers (love that Stampin' Up jelly fish paper) and a bottle image. This has a little colour added using markers, an acetate window and images from Gecko GalzThe bottle shape came from Mickey at UKSN.

June 21st - Techniques from Wanderlust 24 - you might remember my post here.
The Pride and Prejudice lady is an image from  Taylormadecards4u

June 22nd - Another alcohol ink and salad spinner page - what can you see here?

June 23rd - Pareidolia again -  the tendency for perception to impose a meaningful interpretation on a nebulous visual stimulus (so that one sees an object, pattern or meaning where in fact there is none). Wikipedia

We were in a cafe and this mark was on the table. It led to much discussion! What can you see in the shape? I decided to immortalise it on an ICAD!

June 24th - Playing with a We R Memory Makers cordless marker airbrush - something my daughter and I spotted in Spotlight while we were staying with the granddaughters. We all enjoyed playing with it. Here I used the stencil that came with the set. Finally I added some splatter.

June 25th -Playing with the We R Memory Makers cordless marker airbrush again. Here I started by using some star shaped masks that I cut out. The sentiment was formed using the stencil. Again the final touch was some splatter.

June 26th- Another alcohol plus spinner - plus die cuts. The original post is here

June 27th - Finally for today involves stamping in three colours using stamps from Close To My Heart Paper Garden. Vintage photo Distress around the edges, a Tim Holtz chipboard and three butterfly stickers (part of a prize from Mrs A at the Butterfly Challenge.

Bubbly Depths Blog Hop #10

This is my next post for LeighSBDesigns' Bubbly Depths Blog Hop

Now that I am back home I have access to my Cricut and I can start using these svgs from LeighSB Designs

First of all I cut the Sea Life images and just added them to a couple of pages at the front with a bit of black scribble around them.

I then started embellishing the middle pages and added this to the middle right hand side. the rectangle svgs plus fish plus a bit of splatter!

I will add this to Leigh's Linky
