Each post I am hoping to share 'something Poe' I have made in the past ...

and something I have made for this hop...

At one time I was pretty keen on making fat pages -
I remember making a partially Poe inspired fat book...entitled
'Create your art as though no-one will see it but you'

These are some of the pages:

The page I am going to share with you particularly is this one:

Not sure if you can see the stencilled image in the background:

Fat pages lost their appeal and I moved onto journalling.
Today I am going to show you a double page spread that I have not shared before.

I scribbled the quotes on myself -
maybe I should have printed out the words and stuck them on...

Plus, I wrote out the the quote about forgetting something from memory -
 and I forgot a word!!

This page starts with a layer of faux wood effect paper (made using textured paper, glue and Distress Ink).
The top image is a Smeared Ink stamp stamped with black Archival ink on paper from an old book and ripped out.
The cat was die cut using a Tattered Lace die from the same paper and distressed slightly.
Distress Ink is Brushed corduroy

The second page is covered in paper from the old book, with Distress Oxides on top - peeled paint and frayed burlap.
Images are from Smeared Ink, stamped with Black Archival Ink.

I thought you might like to see that I have started using my ATC storage box:

Happy Crafting!

    1. Score a piece of textured cardstock at random intervals across its widthfrom the wrong side. On the right side apply clear glue randomly along each bump of the scoring. Allow to dry then smear distress ink straight from the pad across the card.

  2. Fat pages come & go, journals come & go, whisky comes and goes... but The Box Lives On!
