Crafty Hazelnut's Midway Reminder for January Extra Challenge

Starting this early with next year's cards should solve the problem of the November panic!!

Here's my Design Team make for the January Challenge of

Bugaboo Stamps are proud to sponsor this challenge - they are offering $21 of digital stamps to the randomly selected winner.

I chose to use the image  Christmas Prim Angel - Lights to make a simple card.

Actually not quite a simple card as it looks - it involves

  • Matting and layering - the red card base was matted and layered with white then red sparkly paper
  • Colouring, Glittering and Distressing - the image was coloured with Promarkers then Stickles in red, silver and gold and distressed with 'festive berries'.
  • Die-cutting  - A nesting die was used to cut the image and the shape set behind.
  • Emboss Resist - the shape behind had been cut from an embossed background image (white opaque embossing powder) and distressed with 'festive berries'.
  • Embellishing - some glittery twine was tied together and added with a glue dot.

and link up your January makes!
This Challenge lasts all month...

I made this card because Hazel has changed her themes for her Saturday Challenge
Her second week of the month from now on will be "red" -
It's last minute to link to this challenge now but have a look at the new themes...

Happy Crafting!
