I will be sharing today's Halloween make on Leigh's page...Day 1

~~~~~~~
So Halloween is almost here...
the local pub has really gone to town!!
Looking back to yesterday's page....
I decided the Copic Magenta really didn't show up enough - I needed pinker!!
So I stamped this part of the insect on the pink card, punched out 1inch circles and added these:
The photos aren't brilliant but I hope you can see the new look...
And I am still on skulls today...
When we went to the Tate Modern the other day I was quite impressed with the work of Paul Neagu (1938 - 2004).
He liked to use open ended boxes or spaces. This is a ceramic skull:
I thought these looked like a coffins:
Today's make is another page from my Halloween scrap book and also my DT make for Oddball Art.
For this inspirational make
I have used the image Creepy Cute Sugar Skull
 and a page from Dots and Doodles both coloured with Copic markers.
This uses Oddball images:
 If you would like to buy any of Lizzy's Oddball images use my DT code: DTSUSAN10
This coupon code is for 10% OFF the entire Oddball Art Website
Spooktacular is a Tonic die, the sugar skull die is from Dovecraft.
The tag uses the technique Distress Oxide: Smudge Stamping
Method:
  1. Stamp image with Distress Oxide.
  2. Immediately smudge image with clean ink blending tool to soften lines and create glow.
  3. Repeat above steps with various images and colours, smudging each image as you stamp.
  4. Splatter with water if desired, distress edges.
Happy Hopping!
First one more postcard from Vintage Image Craft
And then another page from my Halloween scrapbook...
I hope you will find this one pretty spooky...
The main stamp set I have used for this is from Visible Image - Glimmer of Light.
stamped on kraft, a little colour added with Copics, and then cut out.
I also added a couple of my spider stamps...
The base is a square of kraft paper, layered with three strips pf paper from my scraps.
Again I added a tag...Distress Oxide - Worn Watercolour (placed on kraft tag).
Method:
  1.  Stamp image with Archival ink on watercolour cardstock.
  2.  Create a distressed background using any colour ink or stain.
  3.  Apply Distress Oxide to craft sheet.
  4. Pick up colour from sheet with waterbrush.
  5. Watercolour image.
  6. Dry layers to build opacity of watercolour.
The candlestick die is from Elizabeth Crafts.
I paper pieced some pink paper to the flame and the light bulb - in reality these are much the same colour as the skulls (Magenta Copic).
Happy Hopping!
Day 28 of 31 Days of Halloween
First one more postcard from Vintage Image Craft
And then another page from my Halloween scrapbook...
The main stamps I have used for this are from Visible Image - The Cheshire Cat.
I stamped the sentiments on a piece of moss green card and the cat on white, then coloured it with Copics, and then cut everything out.
As my theme today is the Cheshire Cat from 'Alice' I thought I would first show you something I made for Leigh's Dark Valentine last year - it was a postcard flip book:
 The enclosed postcard has Leigh's Queen of Hearts Grunge Collage
Not Halloween but definitely dark!
Back to today - the next picture show my page in progress.
The first layer was a paper from my scrap box distressed around
 with 'shabby shutters'.
Again I added some tags...
The first one I actually made some while ago at a craft retreat with
 UK Stampers Network
The tag involved various techniques
  • Using the rubber stamp to stamp into the texture paste and with ink - love this 'Yesterday is History, Tomorrow a Mystery, Today is a gift, That's why it's the present'
  • Using chalk acrylics
  • Using a stencil, then slightly offset it to form a shadow
  • Distressing
  • Making a homemade chipboard by layering up honeycomb die cuts
For the second tag I sprayed a tag in my spray box with a variety of sprays, including shimmery ones, through some stencils that I had made with a glue gun.
My spray box is just some packaging - it once held a photo album. It has a deepish tray in which I have put a non-stick mat and a clear top which I stand upright to protect the surroundings!
I allowed this to dry and then overstamped with Archival ink and the stamp Punchinella from Carabelle studio.
I added 'shabby shutters' distress ink around the edges.
The third tag is once again 'glaze resist'. I used clear shoe polish through a stencil and then added a variety of distress inks.
I overstamped in Archival with 'How Fragile' from Visible Image.
I will link this to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity who have a second challenge up for October - Pets
and also the Halloween one.
Happy Hopping!
In 2016 my Halloween make for 31DOH was a fat book illustrating a poem.
Can you tell me the poem (and writer) this came from?
Day 27 of 31 Days of Halloween
First one more postcard from Vintage Image Craft
And then another page from my Halloween scrapbook...
Again a couple of tags - but these were basically a piece of watercolour paper in my spray box, sprayed with a variety of sprays, including one with a gold shimmer. I die cut them to tag shape and used shaded lilac distress ink around the edges.
I then added die cuts cut in purple sparkle paper. (Sizzix Crow and Tim Holtz Frightful Things)
Finally I added purple bat confetti.
Nope, I am not a poet - but I couldn't find a suitable verse for this page - so I put a few words together!!
But now to the main feature:
Recipe:
  1. Underneath is a square of paper from my scraps.
  2. Next - one of those moons I have triple stamped in three colours of Distress ink and Kitchen sink stamps.
  3. A tree made again from a scrap paper and using Tim Holtz 'branch tree' cut several times to build it up.
  4. Next the cat image - printed almost three times and coloured with Copics - and then fussy cut. The image is Scaredy Cat from Twistoon
I had intended this another make for the
 2019 Cat Lovers Hop
But I was too late to post it - I just had to go to bed last night!
Thank you to everyone who has hopped by both hops - my blog has seen so many footfalls over the last few days!
Thank you for the kind comments!!
But now we still have 4 more days of 31DOH!
I shouldn't complain about the sun - but these photos are a lot better now it's gone in...
