Today is Day 9... April 9th

Today's makes involve roses - I was thinking of the varieties that start blooming in the Spring - and that started me thinking of things I have made using Leigh's images and roses...

This ATC box used LeighSB's Tangled Rose Collage as did the ATC from inside.

This Valentine ATC box and matching ATCs had rose embellishments.

For these I used Leigh's Distressed Splatter Heart.

Today I will share some cards - this time not using a LeighSB Designs image.
The other day I watched a Jennifer McGuire video demonstrating partial die cut labels. I was inspired... but I am lacking various pieces of equipment (like my stamping platform and many stamps and dies which are in the shipping - nor did I have any masking tape)...

So this is what I made:

I used kraft square card bases and matted them with papers from a number of floral paper pads in my stash. I added the strips of sentiment paper cut to a suitable width from a Kaisercraft pad.

In this first card I added a die cut label the rose and the spray of foliage separately.

In the following examples I cut the label and foliage spray shapes using my Cricut.
I stamped the roses and leaves in various colours and added more colour with Copics, finally overstamping the roses in black.
The stamp and die set is from Kaisercraft - Rose.

In the next two examples I was aiming for the colours of an Empress Josephine rose (which do flower in the Spring) - but mine ended up more purplish...

I added faux stitching with fineliners

Watch out for some more makes in the current month...it may not be every day but we will see!

Hope to see you on Leigh's Birthday hop

I will link these to Crafter's Cafe Challenge #239

I would also like to mention you could share your Easter makes
