More fun and games with the Cricut

My Cricut Maker was delivered just under 4 weeks ago -
and what with the enforced 'stay at home' restrictions, I have used it every day since.
In fact my first mat is now 'unsticky'!!

Having started with the sample that came in the box, I have moved on to using lots of other people's svg files and done some things from scratch. The latter is more what I would like to do!

If you would like to see my Cricut journey scroll through these links

In that first example, the Cricut is used to draw - that is my next challenge...

Anyway the other day, I decided to make a pineapple - why you may ask? Well my husband did...

Basically I tried to make some Easter lilies - but my flowers were a bit of a disaster - so I had all these leaves to use! To be honest my first flowers were not very successful either.

So this was my first pineapple:

The base was something like an idea I saw online.

I wanted more of a shaped base - this one ended up too tall...

So this was my final version:

But - to get on something completely different,
Thing 1 is It's Hip to be a Square

I can't do Thing 2 - all my stuff is currently being shipped over to Australia - so I have nothing here that I haven't used for a year. But I am happy to say at least the ship is not at anchor any more - it is on the move again!

Double Dare is to link to another partner - I am also linking to

I hope my make qualifies...

It is a 'Noughts and Crosses' Game and box to keep it in, made with my Cricut

Happy Crafting!

  4. Susan, hope the ship arrives soon with all you crafting stuff!!! Making a game in a box is a great gift idea. I used my digital cutter to hairbows for the first time yesterday. Those machines can do wonders! Thank you for sharing your creativity with us at Double Trouble! -Donna

  5. Love your game board and box, Susan! Such pretty colors, too. I have not heard it called "Noughts and Crosses" in a very long time. Although you did not have your older stamps available, thank you for playing along with us at Double Trouble #54.
