LeighSB's Spring Blog Hop 2021- Day 10 - March 16th

 This is another post for

 LeighSB Designs spring-blog-hop-2021

This is my Day 10 on March 16th - it is very confusing when we are 19 hours ? ahead in Australia!

At least I am back home again so I can get my blog organised - There was little or no internet in the holiday place so I could rarely link my tablet. Blogging by phone is not easy!

Anyway today's project features
 Bunny Balleigh Monster Easter Set.

This is an impossible card based on a Lori Whitlock's Easter Basket.
I used my Cricut to cut the base, basket and eggs.
I changed it slightly to make a two-sided basket of eggs and then added Leigh's bunny on the front.

I quite liked the egg shaped base - this is the card seen from above.

I coloured the bunny with markers and cut him out...

The card lies flat to go in an envelope and then a quick twist makes it stand up.

I added die cut butterflies on the base (Paper Smooches die) and the sentiments that came in the digi set.

I will link this to Leigh's current hop.
Hope you will join in too...

I will also add this to

Thing 1: Trouble Maker says, "We are going to recognize 'Everything You Think is Wrong Day' on March 15th, a day when nothing goes right. Picture this: Your crafting project just went wrong! Have you ever had a day like that... a day when nothing was going right? Yeah, me too."

Certainly I had a few issues with this card - my Cricut wouldn't play nicely and the cardstock kept moving on the mat. So I had to cut the base twice!! Then I had to cut the matting patterned paper pieces for the base several times to get the patterned sides the right way up. Finally I coloured the image with markers - and the colour went straight through. I thought that's Ok I can just colour the other side - but of course it came back through the other way. Not thinking straight!!

"Don't give up... because things that went wrong will magically correct themselves at the stroke of midnight and we will be celebrating 'Everything You Do is Right Day' on March 16th! To get to this happy day, you had to get past yesterday."

Well I actually quite liked the result!!

"So let's include something MAGICAL on your crafting project (i.e. gnome, fairy, magician, wand, rabbit in a hat, pixie dust, unicorn, mermaid, wizard, Disney, etc.)."

I think the Little bunny monster is pretty magical - as is the fold!

Thing 3: Twisted Sister
"My optional twist is to use at least one metal die (a frame, an image, a sentiment, etc.) in your project and any brand is acceptable. If you have included a die(s) on your project you will receive another chance at the DTC random draw and you will have met Double Dare's requirement below."

I used the Paper Smooches Die - which had actually just come in the post - a prize from Mrs A - just had to use it!

Thing 2: Double Dare
says, "If you have created Thing 1's "magical" theme and have included at least one metal die on your project you are eligible to enter it at Dies R Us #165 HERE.
OR
If you have used any brand of craft dies that Dies R Us sells in their store, you will be eligible for their random draw and earn a $10 gift certificate at their store. Your die may already qualify... click HERE to view the list of brands sold at DRU on the left-hand sidebar. Don't keep us guessing... include the brand of die used in your post."
Paper Smooches Dies are sold by DRU.

Happy Crafting!
