IT'S HALLOWEEN!!

My final make of the blog is also my DT make for LOC where a new challenge starts today:

I used Smeared Ink's Smell My Feet Pumpkin Head, coloured with Promarkers.

The original white card blank was matted with green card and then layered with DP -

 I've used quite a lot of these Halloween papers from Best Creation Inc this October!

I had to add a spider...

First I want to show you a very quick way of decorating a candle...

this was for a previous Halloween...

Take a bought paper serviette and separate the layers -

 you only need the top coloured one (discard the other two).

Trim to size to wrap around the candle and wrap again with waxed paper.

Use your heat gun to melt the tissue into the candle then remove the waxed paper.

This is today's pair of candles:

These were serviettes decorated with skulls - from Tesco's.

I added some witches stamped with Versafine and a SU stamp.

(When I was stamping on the muslin ealier in the hop I just used Versafine...)

My other make is a very quick tag card...

The tag uses a scrap of DP to mat the Dilly Beans image, coloured with Promarkers.

I added the Halloween sentiment and a couple of felt embellishments!!

OK - so I won't get this made into a wall hanging this year - maybe next!!

I have used scraps of DP and some of the wrapping paper I will use for the parcel

plus ribbon, embossed 'Happy Halloween' and the odd embellishment!

I am running out of time - only 3 more days after this and I have images, papers,

 and a cat to decopatch!!!

And suddenly I have little time to craft...

my husband arrived back from India a week ago,

our goods arrived at our new home on Thursday!

(It didn't help that I had arranged to go to a quilting show with a friend

down in Malvern on Friday...)

We are now unpacking...unpacking...

But I believe these boxes may hold my stash:

There are about 20 boxes there - labelled 'cosmetics' - 

the Pickfords men put them in the (quite large) bathroom.

A quick peek in one revealed crafty stuff...

But they are pretty low on the priority list for opening!!

Anyway here's hoping I will manage the last 4 days...

Here's today's make - a card using DD Pumpkin Pestilence coloured with Promarkers.

The long rectangular Kraft card blank was matted with paper from my mini-stash.

Other elements were from a Best Creation Inc. paper.

I have seen various banners on the hop - and in particular Sandy's - so I thought I would have a go...

This small remnant came to hand - my Dad thought the images were chickens - but they are cats!!

I then printed some images on some white muslin:

The Witch is Visible Image, the owls are Digi Digi Doodle,

 the rest are free stamps from Get Stamping Magazine.

This is how it turned out:

'Room on the Broom' is a brilliant kid's book written by Julia Donaldson.

I recently watched the film with my great nephew...we loved it!

The story basically has different animals asking if there is room on the

My card today is inspired by this story...

First I used Bugaboo's Image AKV Witch Broom

 and a rubber stamp of a dog that I picked up in a bargain bin.

These were coloured with Promarkers.

I used a rectangular card blank and matted it with paper from Little Boo Collection 'Night Owl'.

I used more of this to mount the words which were printed on the computer. "broom' was a scrap from a Best Creation Inc. paper.

I then assembled the card as above, adding glitter and googly eyes...

The 4th challenge for World Card Making Month at SNS is

Halloween or Orange - create a Halloween card or a card using the color orange as the main color.

I think this fits the Orange theme but is also Halloweeny...

I was very fortunate recently to win a couple of images from Meljens

This is Harvest Moon.

I printed it on some lovely handmade paper (from Nepal), cut it out and, after colouring,

adhered it to a 'Kraft' card base.

For the moon I used stamping in three stamps - Kitchen Sink Stamps (Owl and Autumn Moon)

using Summer Sun, Orange and Pumpkin Pie.

The rest was coloured with Promarkers - walnut, honeycomb and gold.

Finally I added UHU glitter glue in gold.

October 24th Thanksgiving with Blue moon creations!

Well - have been having awful trouble with the Internet - hopefully I will get this loaded!!

It is the start of a new challenge at Blue Moon Creations - Stamping with Thanks and Thanksgiving!!

This is my DT card...

I started with a cream card blank and matted it with this beautiful paper...

(Fairy Flora Collection, Summer Storm)

The tag is on dimensionals with some gold ribbon and the sentiment from Spiced Sunshine stamps

Using another stamp from Spiced Sunshine

I used the triple stamping method to make this element - one of my favourite techniques!

After yesterday's dolly pegs I moved on to clip pegs...

Here are my first two:

I added scraps of paper, Digis from Bugaboo's Make it Snappy Witch and foam die-cuts.

The Raven was from Ike's free Poe Paper

My next one uses Smeared Ink's Devil Boy

and scraps of paper from Best Creation Inc.

My final one is my DT inspiration for LOC's new Challenge. Do pop over to Left of Center as there is a DT call going on there...!!

I intended to use a Limited Runs image but somehow I found Tworki to hand.. .by Rick St Dennis....
