October 3rd - Day Three of 31DOH

Well... it's DAY THREE of Smeared Ink's 31 Days of Halloween...a huge blog hop for you to enjoy every day
 ALL THROUGH OCTOBER !!

For more details hop over to Terra's Blog...there are great prizes to be won!!
Find out about the Scavenger Hunt!
Each day everyone will have posted by 9am Pacific Time!

The blog roll is on my side bar - if you are hopping you should have come from Erin and your next stop is Creepy Glowbugg!

Today I am going to show you two Halloween cards...

The first is my DT inspiration for Dragons Lair.

The monthly challenge there starts today - Anything Goes!

I am using background papers from Coffee Cream Card papers

and the Spooky Halloween Tree image

Starting with a Kraft square card blank I matted and layered two of the gorgeous papers..

I coloured the image with promarkers - I hope you can see the shading to give the idea of the moon...
Having cut this out and put in place, I added a few die cut embellishments...

Take time to look at Dragons Lair Inspiration Blog too -
hopefully you will find more inspiration there!

My second card is my DT inspiration for LOC...another challenge starts there today!

I used The Stamping Chef's Broomstick Bella coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut...I rather like Bella's pale lips - but do you think I should have coloured them something bright??

The first layer is a card base scored and folded from some gorgeous orange card.
But my second layer is something special...
I have recently been making wine from the grapes on our allotment...

The bubbles on the top of the fermenting barrel seemed too good to waste - so once I had siphoned off the must into demijohns, I dropped some white card into the residue...and came up with this:-

Pretty good background papers I think!! White card with a layer of grape juice!!

My final touch was my sentiment, printed from the computer
and matted onto some more orange card..

(Don't forget the LOC facebook challenge running here too)

Witching you a Happy Halloween!
See you tomorrow!
