SO here's my desk!

I have been using stencils to make some Christmas card backgrounds.

I have been making journal pages as usual - one is on the table easel.

I have also made some projects for Scrapbookingncraft

I also made a card I was quite pleased with:

More details of these are all in previous blog posts.

My daughter came over last weekend and she needed to make some little things to give to the kids in her form. This is what we came up with:

And we are starting putting  our Christmas decorations up:

Just to finish - a friend sent me this on Facebook - she said it reminded her of me...

Wishing you a happy week...and hope to get around to you all this week...

This is my next inspiration - a pair of slimline cards:

Step One
Using two slimline card blanks, I added mats of green card.

Step Two
For my next layer I used a background from my Gelli plate in greens.

Step Three
I then added Acrylic paint (Dina Wakley Ancient) through the stencil
 (using a domed blending foam)
to this background using Forest Trees

Step Four
I cut the backgrounds so size including some of the green edging as 'ground'.

Step Five
I coloured the birds  and owl using black acrylic and a sponge.

Step Six
I added the birds with white glue.

Step Seven
I printed the sentiments n the computer, added black fineliner, cut them out and adhered them in place.

Sunday Song & Rhyme: Nov 26 - Dec 9

Have you found the new home of the Outlawz Sunday Song & Rhyme Challenge yet?

I do hope you will go and check it out!

This challenge has no sponsors, but you do have the opportunity to win a top 3 or honorable mention badge.

Now on to the challenge!

Our Song/Rhyme this fortnight is from Jane

The Calendar by Barbara-Euphan-Todd

I think there are many phrases within this that might inspire you...

The Calendar

I knew when Spring was come –
Mot by the murmurous hum
Of bees in the willow-trees,
Or frills
Of daffodils.
Or the scent of the breeze;
But because there were whips and tops
By the jars of lollipops
In the two little village shops.

I knew when Summer breathed –
Not by flowers that wreathed
The sedge by the water’s edge,
Or gold
Of the Wold,
Or white and rose of the hedge;
But because in a wooden box
In the window at Mr’s Mack’s
There were white-winged shuttlecocks.

I knew when Autumn came –
Not by the crimson flame
Of leaves that lapped the eaves
Or mist
In amethyst
And opal tinted weaves;
But because there were alley-taws
(Punctual as hips and haws)
On the counter at Mrs. Shaw’s.

I knew when Winter swirled –
Not by the whitened world,
Or silver skeins in the lanes
Or frost
That embossed
In patterns on window-panes;
But because there were transfer sheets
By the bottles of spice and sweets
In the shops in two little streets.

I was inspired by
I knew when Autumn came –
Not by the crimson flame
Of leaves that lapped the eaves
and made an autumnal card.

As a background I used a paper from my stash from BeeArty. The sentiment also came from here.
The added leaves and stem are from The Dusty Attic - I added Distress Ink to these to add colour.

If you haven't already, please join our
to stay up with all the challenges.
Thanks for playing along!

WOYWW #755

It is Wednesday so I am linking to the Stamping Ground

Follow the link to find out more about What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #755

SO here's my desk!

I have been making journal pages as usual - but they are all waiting to be blogged so I can't show them on the table easel! On this, there are a few gelli pulls.

We have had a pretty busy week so not a lot of crafting to share - as usual we had Ollie over Sunday night and Monday.
Yesterday the car needed to be serviced so while we were waiting we went to our daughter's and did some weeding! We then went to the cinema to see Caravaggio Shadow.

Today Kevin hired a rotavator so the back garden is coming on well...

Just to finish these are the Diwali cards I was sent from crafty people in the UK. We swap all sorts of cards - next is Christmas!

Wishing you a happy week...and hope to get around to you all this week...
Happy  WOYWW!
