W&W Belated 2nd Birthday Bash

I wish I had discovered the Winnie and Walter Blog before today!
They have been running a Belated 2nd Birthday Bash all month!

I would have loved to enter several of the challenges
but I have only got time to enter one...

This card features a handmade background and
- an 'in a word' digital element.

I used my silver bullet to die cut this using a Docraft paper from my stash.
(I decided not to dot the i!)

The background uses a handmade stencil made with glue gun glue and then sprayed with an assortment of misters. Once dry the piece was trimmed and distressed around the edges with 'Scattered Straw'.
I wrapped and tied a ribbon around this before applying to the deckle edge card base.
Unfortunately I was losing the light when I took my photos - the one above shows the colour better!

(I would also have loved to enter the Inlaid Die Cutting Challenge with Mayuri - I will definitely try this technique in the next week or so)

Happy Crafting!

  1. I see you're using one of the tips you learned a couple weeks ago.
    Glue makes a great design.
Good luck on your entry to W&W.
