Make it easy

I told you the other day that I have a new Cricut Maker. Over the last few days I have been experimenting with it and discovering what it can do...in particular I have been following

Yesterday's theme was about animals and I made this card:

It started with a white card blank with the various pieces cut with the Cricut and added. The svg was a freebie from Caluya Designs.

Finally I added the sequins and stamped the sentiment directly onto the card blank.

As I will send this as a Birthday card I will also link it to

  2. Layer of Brusho background - Brushos sprinkled through a stencil and spritzed with water.
  3. Clever Dexter is a Lizzy Love (from Oddball Art Co) Digital Stamp, coloured with Copics. He is the logo for the Clever Dexter Challenge - Do take a look over there for inspiration and the current challenge and join in!! This time I used the coloured image in my Cricut machine to print and cut a sticker on label paper.

Rock Out with your Shamrock Out!!

For this inspirational make I have used  IMG 298

You may have read that I recently became the proud owner of a Cricut Maker machine.
I made the first layer for this card using a free SVG from Caluya Design

Recipe:
  1. White square card blank.
  2. Layer of green paper, with shamrock cut out using my Cricut, faux stitched with a fineliner.
  3. Sentiments printed and trimmed, a little colour with a Copic and faux stitching with a fine liner.
  4. Girl image printed and coloured with Copics and cut out.

Happy Butterfly

Last week I was very lucky to receive a Cricut Maker as an early Birthday present -
Happy Birthday to me!!

Over the last few days I have been experimenting with it and discovering what it can do...
Fabric cutting!

Two little boxes using perforations as method of scoring, then a scoring stylus.

Today I made this card just out of
textured cardstock and gunmetal parchment that I had to hand.

The outer card is a golden colour, the butterflies grey - the photo does not really illustrate this! When the card is opened it looks like this:

and in motion:

The theme for Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge #139 is V for View Master Card.
and she gives instructions on how to make one here.

The wheel is as follows:

My card is not a View Master card but I may try to make one of those later - it does use Vegas Gold and maybe the large butterfly is a vertical embellishment.
Still trying to get a better image of the colour...

Anyway I will link this to the Butterfly Challenge #139

As I will send this as a Birthday card I will also link it to
