Happy Little Stampers New Challenge!!

I have just become a member of the Happy Little Stampers DT

for the Anything Goes with DIES Challenge.

As this is my first make for HLS I decided to make two cards - two tiny little cards starting with 4 by 4 square card blanks.

With my first card I embossed a Hero Arts collage heart stamp with gold embossing powder, cut it out and distressed it around the edge with 'shaded lilac'.

I added this to a scrap of DP from my stash, die cut with a scalloped square.

Finally I added three butterflies die cut from  adhesive fabric.

My second card uses one of my favourite techniques - inlaid die cutting.

 I embossed a 'music' stamp (I think this was a magazine freebie) with white opaque embossing powder several times and cut 5 butterflies from it. I added 'peacock feathers' distress ink to them while they were still in the die as this gives a small border.

I added 'spun sugar' distress ink to the backgrounds to some of these butterflies and replaced them is the spaces they came from. I matted these squares on scraps of turquoise card and placed them on the base. Finally I added two more butterflies...
