Color Dare Challenge #420

This is another make for the

Do pop over to the Color Dare Challenge and take a look at my teamies' makes!

This is today's colour scheme

My first idea was to make some ATCs - basically layers of  'pulls' from my Gelli plate using alcohol inks on a kraft background.

I also used a Tim Holtz stencil...

In this third one I also used some Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide though the stencil.

However when you use alcohol inks and a gelli plate you are never sure what you are going to get - and I think I got more pinks and reds and browns, rather than oranges...

So - I moved onto a card - although it is Spring here in Australia, I made a fall card...

Recipe:
  1. White square card blank.
  2. Layer of kraft
  3. Layer of my favourite embossed spider web paper in orange. I bought a pack of this when I was living in Mumbai from one of the markets. I have hoarded it, but gradually used it and I only have scraps now in my stash...
  4. Layer of white card with crackling campfire Distress Oxide through a small Tim Holtz stencil.
  5. Three leaves cut from a magazine freebie paper using the Stampin Up Stitched Leaves Dies.
  6. Sentiment printed using the computer, trimmed and with a touch of the Distress Oxide. Placed on dimensional tape.

Hope you will join the Color Dare Challenge...

I will be sharing today's autumnal make on Leigh's info page...

Happy Crafting!

  1. Alcohol Inks can be a little unpredictable... they have a mind of their own. I love using them for backgrounds. The ATCs are beautiful even if you did not get the results you wanted. I love the card, it is perfect for your color challenge!
