What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday #597

     WOYWW

It's Wednesday again - so I am linking this post to the Stamping Ground.

Here's my desk picture for WOYWW 597!

Pretty untidy - not sure what you can spot here today?

I have been joining in with the 25 Days of Christmas Tags and the Coffee Lovers Hop so probably some of the debris is as a result of that.

I have been using some of the alcohol ink and gelli plate backgrounds that I mentioned last week - I was quite pleased with these ATCs:

And I quite liked this tag which was linked to both of the above hops.

And this Christmas one...

At the weekend I finished this Persian Pumpkin - a Mill Hill cross-stitch and beading piece - this will end up on the Christmas tree!

On Facebook memories today this photo popped up:

I was being shown how to do this Indian embroidery when I lived in Mumbai 5 years ago - maybe I should get it out and finish it off!

Lockdown is easing slightly here in Melbourne - so we can now sit in a cafe

and yesterday morning 7 members of our bookgroup met and sat around in a park to discuss the book... We enjoyed that - and the book (Where the Crawdads Sing).

To finish a lovely rose from our garden...

On that note have a happy WOYWW!

  1. That is a lovely rose - certainly enjoyed by me.
I hope you do get around to finishing that embroidery, it looks so lovely and would make a nice piece to display on the wall.
So glad Oz is doing so well with its number of cases, my sis has had hardly any in simply ages in her area.
Lovely atc's and the rest from weekend.
    Hugs, Neet 5 xx

  3. We bought a rose for our front garden yesterday. Watch this space for a flower next year! I think I spotted your name on the coffee blog, it’s fun isn’t it. I do like a challenge to help my crafty mojo occasionally. I’ve only recently discovered them. There’s so much talent out there. Take care with hugs from Sue #18 xx

  4. Hooray for being able to get out, have a coffee and do the normal stuff again! I do love your ATCs and the tag, so beautiful, I love the colours a lot. And the little crock stitch is gorgeous too, so neat, it deserves pride of place on the Christmas tree. You’ll have to show a close up of the Indian embroidery, I’d be interested to have a peek at all the detail.

  7. How fab, it must be lovely to just enjoy a coffee in a cafe. Book group sounds good, again, a sort of get together that probably none of us will take for granted too soon! Haven’t read that book, will stick it on my long list! Makes me smile to see your desk and then read that there’s some detritus. Not what I see!! You’ve made some wonderful pieces with some of those gelli pulls already. And yes, I think you should finish the Indian embroidery.easy for me to say!!
