Live your Life in Bold Colour!

CLEVER DEXTER CHALLENGE #14

This month we invite you to join in with

START DATE: FEBRUARY 1, 2021
THEME: Just Because (whatever that means to you)
COLOR PALETTE: Red, Pink, Blue, White, and Dark Red (optional)

Please visit the Clever Dexter Challenge Blog to find out more...

This is my first inspirational make for this challenge.
I am using a the image  Sweet Little Red Riding Hood - both the pre-coloured version and one that I coloured myself in grey markers.

Today's make is a journal page ... Just because!

What I wanted to do was make a comparison between the grey version and the colourful one and suggest  'Live your life in bold colour!'

Step One

Prepare the background. Initially this was a double spread of 'use up' paint.
I then added dark red paint through a Lavinia stencil.

Next some stamping - black Archival with a Visible Image stamp How Fragile.
More stencilling in white through some circles.

The letters are small individual stamps, stamped in black Archival on white gesso on brown paper. I cut these into pieces and glued them in place. Finally I added some penwork in magenta and black.

Step Two

I printed and coloured and cut out the images.

And added them to the background...

Hope you will come and join us!!

Happy Crafting!
