What's on your Workdesk Wednesday? #631

WOYWW

Wednesday again, so I am linking to the Stamping Ground.

 My picture for WOYWW #631 shows that I was spinning again and have yet to tidy away.
These were my results - some index card size, some ATC size.

I mentioned velveteen stamping last week - basically either over stamping or stencilling upon a white ink on white card stamped background. If you want to know more please pop back on Friday when I have a post scheduled illustrating it.
Also , if you want to see the flip though of my album which I also mentioned last week, that is here:

~~~~~~~~
I have managed to catch up on two journal pages: Wanderlust 25 and 27 - still working on 26!
~~~~~~~~

Yesterday we went to the National Gallery of Victoria to see an exhibition of Impressionist paintings. Too many to mention but I will just share one...

Outside the gallery they were some light displays - which I really liked

And then on South bank the iconic statue:

This was the first time we had been into the city for ages!!

Happy WOYWW !!

  1. I do love the results of your salad spinner technique! Does it get very messy? I know that if I tried it, there would be paint EVERYWHERE! How lovely to be able to go to an exhibition, things a re gradually opening up here too but we haven’t been to one yet.

  3. I have a battery powered spinner, but when I tried to use it, the papers kept coming off the holder. I love, love yours.

    I enjoyed your flip book. Lots of great techniques, too. I have a print of that Van Gogh painting you shared. He is my favorite Impressionist. Nice sculpture, too. Happy WOYWW from #2.

  10. It always amazes me what we can use to make our mark, you've done a grand job with that salad spinner. Fab catch up pages with the wunderlust course. I don't think there's enough hours in the day/week/year for me to ever catch up with things. I'm envious of your visit to the NAV it's been a while i've stepped foot in any, great gallery.

  11. Hi there. Love the results with the salad spinner. As I've recently bought a new one I might not try it out with paint.
    Thanks for lovely ATC, yours is on its way. So sorry for the delay. Take care Anne x 29

  13. Making note to pop back tomorrow for the velveteen stamping info. Sounds quite interesting for sure! The spun art looks fab too. I am considering upgrading my (ancient) one for a newer design so I might have a go one day if I do.

    So very late this week!

  14. Your spinning painting is amazing, Susan, but the high spot for me this week was your exquisite little mermaid book. I have fallen in love with this! I love anything to do with the sea, and it is just magical. I've left a comment on your YouTube channel. You are inspiring me to start making books again!

    I wasn't sure how many blogs I'd manage to visit this week because I'm going into hospital tomorrow, but I am glad I settled down this evening to catch up with as many as I could, because otherwise I'd have missed this.

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  18. Hi Susan, I love the salad spinner art - what a fab idea but I know I'd get covered in it if I tried anything like that! Love the journal pages and it's great that you went to the art exhibition, it's been such a long time since we were able to do anything 'normal' it seems.
    Sorry I'm so late, I had a few poorly days but am fine now and need to do some catching up - you reminded me about it!!
