Blue Moon Creation Challenge

This morning I am posting with my BMC Crafting Station hat on!
And yes we're back - We are still 'Getting Inky' but after quite a break we have come back with new names and lots of new things for you!

Our current challenge is Hallowe'en/Fall - find it at the Crafting Station Challenge

As my DT inspiration, I decided to make a tiny A7 card (about 4 x 3) - I love making ATC's and this isn't much bigger!

Anyway I printed out Summer Waves Goodbye from Digi Digi Doodle wallet size...

Here's my card:

I started with a white card blank and matted it with DP from a My Mind's Eye paper pad.
I used some red card behind the image and layered them together.
Finally I added some heart stickers!

But I then got a little carried away as I had printed the image three times...

Here's an ATC...using orange card behind the image.

and finally a slightly larger card!!

All with the same image and layering papers of similar autumnal colours...

Hope you will join our challenge - Have a look for some more ideas at Blue Moon Crafting Station
Have you noticed the digi freebie there?
Why not make a card using that?
Look for it on my next post today for Day 4 of 31 Days Of Halloween!!

Happy Crafting!

Happy World Card making day!

To celebrate
Sketch N Scrap are promoting a special event this month -
World Card Making Month!
Each Saturday in October there will be an extra challenge - to make a card to fit a particular theme...
This is in addition to the usual challenges!!

The first theme is
Let's make a card for the men in our lives, young or old, friend or family!

Here is my inspiration:-

I started with white card blank and matted it with some paper from a 'My Mind's Eye' 6x6 paper pad.
I layered on two pieces of corrugated paper, one with brads attached.
Finally I added the wooden embellishments and glittery stick on 'Happy Birthday'.

Hope you like it and it will inspire you to make some cards!!
Look out for next Saturday's theme!

Happy Crafting!

October 3rd - Day Three of 31DOH

Well... it's DAY THREE of Smeared Ink's 31 Days of Halloween...a huge blog hop for you to enjoy every day
 ALL THROUGH OCTOBER !!

For more details hop over to Terra's Blog...there are great prizes to be won!!
Find out about the Scavenger Hunt!
Each day everyone will have posted by 9am Pacific Time!

The blog roll is on my side bar - if you are hopping you should have come from Erin and your next stop is Creepy Glowbugg!

Today I am going to show you two Halloween cards...

The first is my DT inspiration for Dragons Lair.

The monthly challenge there starts today - Anything Goes!

I am using background papers from Coffee Cream Card papers

and the Spooky Halloween Tree image

Starting with a Kraft square card blank I matted and layered two of the gorgeous papers..

I coloured the image with promarkers - I hope you can see the shading to give the idea of the moon...
Having cut this out and put in place, I added a few die cut embellishments...

Take time to look at Dragons Lair Inspiration Blog too -
hopefully you will find more inspiration there!

My second card is my DT inspiration for LOC...another challenge starts there today!

I used The Stamping Chef's Broomstick Bella coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut...I rather like Bella's pale lips - but do you think I should have coloured them something bright??

The first layer is a card base scored and folded from some gorgeous orange card.
But my second layer is something special...
I have recently been making wine from the grapes on our allotment...

The bubbles on the top of the fermenting barrel seemed too good to waste - so once I had siphoned off the must into demijohns, I dropped some white card into the residue...and came up with this:-

Pretty good background papers I think!! White card with a layer of grape juice!!

My final touch was my sentiment, printed from the computer
and matted onto some more orange card..

(Don't forget the LOC facebook challenge running here too)

Witching you a Happy Halloween!
See you tomorrow!

October 2nd - Day 2 of 31DOH!!

Well - here we are on Day 2 of 31 Days of Halloween -
the month-long Blog Hop organised by Smeared Ink
Find more details on Terra's blog
but the blog roll is on my side bar.

If you are hopping you will have come from Erin and your next stop is Creepy Glowbugg
Hope you will have the stamina to visit everyone!!

Those of you who know me will know that ATC's are one of my favourite makes -
so today's contribution to 31DOH is an ATC - a piece of artwork just 2.5in by 3.5in.

My Halloween ghoul is Bugaboo's Goofy Ghost Tombstone
which was a Friday Freebie a couple of weeks ago.

I used scraps of black and orange from my stash to mat and layer the image,
 and used Promarkers to colour.

He is more jokey than scary but does he know that other ghost is behind him??

Happy hopping!

October 1st ...31DOH and more...

I don't know where to start today - so much to say!!

My first thought is that I had planned to return to India today - but all things have changed -
and instead we will be living in the UK for a while.
My stash is somewhere on the Indian Ocean in a container!!

I could write a couple of posts but instead I am going to combine it all together -
hope you will find some inspiration!!

ANYWAY it's DAY ONE of Smeared Ink's 31 Days of Halloween

For more details hop over to Terra's Blog. There is a huge blog hop to join in ALL MONTH
and prizes to be won!! It starts today at 9am Pacific Time!

The blog roll is on my side bar - if you have got as far as me you are doing really well!!

I am going to show you two Halloween cards today as it's DAY ONE...

My first is to help launch a new set of digis over at Dragons Lair - the Trick or Treat Collection.
All my sort of colours!

The launch is over at Dragons Lair Inspiration Blog

Here is my DT card:

I started with a Kraft stepper card and added various layers of the papers and elements.

The flower elements I cut out and attached with toning brads.

Hope this will encourage you to go and have look at Dragons Lair and their facebook group too!!

My second card is an inspiration for the first LOC Facebook Contest...it starts TODAY!

Find the group here

I used the SLS Pumpkin Monsters for this card

I coloured the image with Promarkers and cut it out.
My white card base was matted and layered with papers from a My Mind's Eye 6x6 pad and Lelli-Bot Gothic Grunge - the feather was an embellishment from the latter too. I added some buttons from my button box...

Happy Halloween Crafting!! Look forward to seeing your creations!
