I will be sharing today's Halloween make on Leigh's page...Day 1

~~~~~~~
I am sharing another page from my Halloween scrapbook today.
You have probably noticed that each page includes tags...
I added this one after a layer of paper from my stash.
The technique on this tag is Distress Paint: Paint lifting
(Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry LIVE 2017)
Method:
  1. Cover tag with a layer of gesso and allow to dry.
  2. Apply distress paint to a small section at a time using your fingers.
  3. While paint is still wet, place stencil over and wipe through with a baby wipe to lift paint.
  4. Let layer dry or dry with heat tool.
  5. Repeat stages 2 to 4 to add and lift paint.
  6. Once paint is dry it becomes permanant.
  7. I overstamped the dragonfly image with Archival ink.
I then used another technique (Glaze Resist) on which to matt the focal image and the sentiment.
Methods:
  1. Use Distress through a stencil. Move stencil slightly and use clear shoe polish through it. Add Distress in 3 colours to craft mat and spritz. Mop up with the tag.
  2. Or use shoe polish alone through stencil. Then add the distress.
  3. Add Distress around the edges.
The main image is Frida Cat by Stampendous - stamped then coloured with Copics, cut to size and distressed around the edges with worn lipstick.
I added some rose layered die cuts (Altenew).
I printed Frida Kahlo's quote in pink on the computer. I almost used another favourite quote - one that I used in my journal some years ago...
By the way if you nip over to Lost Coast you will find there are Halloween treats...
Lost Coast are also sponsoring The Pretty in Pink Challenge at Penny Black at Allsorts so I will also link this here.
Please pop by to see more of my 31DOH Halloween makes... and maybe answer some of my Spot Prizes - all your names will go in the hat and prize winners will be announced at the beginning of November.
Please email the answers to susanrenshaw0404@gmail.com
Spot Prize 5 - a pumpkin trivia question...
In North and South America, what did archaeologists find to show that pumpkins had been around for hundreds of years?
(a) Pottery with pumpkin designs and shapes
(b) Seeds in old pots
(c) Mosaic art on walls
(d) Paintings on Caves
Happy Day 14 of 31DOH!
