Steampunk Serengeti Blog Hop 2021 Post #20 August 25

Once again Leigh is leading a hop...

LeighSBDesigns Steampunk Serengeti Blog Hop!
August 6 - 31, 2021

For more details hop over to Leigh's page

Today I am sharing my first flamingo make...

During this hop I have been googling the creatures that are seen in the Serengeti - so yesterday I included a hare, a hummingbird and a butterfly...

Today I am sharing a card I have made using a cross-stitched flamingo - have to keep busy in this lockdown, and easy to do while watching television!

I cut an aperture card blank using my Cricut, in pink card, and added the embroidered piece.
I then added the sentiment and the small leafy images, stamped with black Archival (Altenew stamps) - directly onto the card or on a scrap of white card. Finally I added the faux stitching with a Micron pen.

I will link this to Leigh's Hop

Happy Crafting!

Just to finish I am just going to share a lovely card I recently received from a friend...

  1. How sweet! I am so glad you shared your research with us! I keep thinking of an animal for a project but have been too lazy to make sure of its origins! :) LOVE your cross-stitched flamingo! I use to cross-stitch all the time!
