Wednesday again, so I am linking to the Stamping Ground.
Follow the link to find out more and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #639
Here in Australia it is the first day of Spring - and we could sit out to eat lunch...
The trees and bushes are in bud or even flower...
Lockdown has been extended again - the numbers are creeping up - so I have just been to the Post Office to post off some Birthday and Birth Day gifts - not waiting any longer to meet up!!
~~~~~
But what crafting have I been doing? Well, probably like many of you, I always have several things on the go at once...
On this desk you can see a couple of cards I made using a new foam stamp from ScrapFx and a journal page that has had gesso, paint and tissue printed images added - ready for the next stage....
On this desk you can see some cards I just made trying out the Creative Expressions Poinsettia die that arrived in the post today, new Dina Wakley stamps that also just arrived and the start of a mini-journal courtesy of Marjie Kemper. In the foreground on top of my Cricut is a part-done Organic Doodle a la Tracy Scott.
Most of these have not been added to yet because I have been helping Kevin with his boatbuilding:
On Sunday I did a virtual workshop and produced this:
Looks like you have been keeping yourself as busy as ever despite lockdown Susan. I have just signed up for Wanderlust 2022 having been inspired by seeing your projects this year. The last time I took part was 2018 and I still have loads of projects to complete from then. What a great boat!!!! Thanks for the visit. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #?
ReplyDeleteI really adore the subtle and muted colours of the last piece, it works so well and I don’t think we’ve ever seen boat building on the desks before which just goes to show that there’s always something new, lol!
I did wonder when you said 'boat building', thankfully it fits in your garage!! Reminded me of Gibbs boat in NCIS.
ReplyDeleteLove your steampunk - super colours.
Have a good week
Oh gosh loving all your projects this week but the thought of going into Spring as we enter Autumn just struck me! Love your workshop piece. BJ#18
ReplyDeleteWill you be painting the boat? Great projects. Happy WOYWW and have a great week Angela #10
ReplyDeleteHope you get out of lockdown soon. Till then enjoy the virtual workshops. Helen #3
ReplyDeleteWe would never have that sort of blossom on the first day of Spring in Britain, would we? I'm always amazed how the seasons are turned upside down on the globe. Super projects, as always. I look forward to seeing what you do in your virtual retreats. My husband uses me as an assistant in his workshop too, but I much rather spend time in my craft room LOL! Have a lovely week! xx zsuzsa #20
ReplyDelete1st day of spring, and we are just getting over the very high temperatures of summer time now for our flowers to bud and flower until the heat of next summer. Sorry to hear about your lockdown again but you seem to have plenty to keep you occupied. My crafts certainly kept be going during lockdown. Ani
ReplyDeleteGorgeous projects as always, Susan. I love the steampunk one at the end! I'm like you - I've got several things on the go at once, too. Your flowers are looking beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW,
Busy desk today and loving the results too. It always feels strange that as we go into autumn that you are just approaching spring. Love the results of the workshop too. Wishing you a lovely and creative woyww, Angela x6x
ReplyDeleteGreat projects all of then! I have a virtual retreat Oct/Nov and looking forward to it even though I will be working most days. Hoping your Lockdwon ends soon, we have been very lucky in Queensland with regards to them. xoxo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pieces of art - the last one has such gorgeous colours, I love that soft muted look. The blossom is looking magnificent.
So glad I managed to visit you this week, love your projects. Sorry about the lockdown, but i wouldn't be surprised if we have another, the way thing are going! We are just starting autumn, the leaves are looking a biy dingy then they'll turn beautiful orange. I'm rushing round as my link to Stammping Ground might suddnenly stop! Happy Late WOYWW ((Lyn)) 22#
ReplyDeleteI popped in before Julia got the Mr Linky sorted out but your new post was not up - then I forgot to come back! Glad I did. Your Steampunk...angel? whatever, she is very cool. You always seem to make the most of your workshops!! fab stuff. Yeah, lockdown sucks and hopefully won't kast too long, but people are just not being sensible, at least not round here. So many peeps out and about, crowding together, spreading the virus, and so many anti-vax posts getting shared on FB and the like. I just want it to be over, but I am also willing to do what it takes to make it happen! I wish everyone was the same. Be safe, and stay arty!
Love the blossom Susan, what is it, some kind of clematis? Your crafting spaces are looking very busy, and you're being very productive during yet another lockdown, will it ever end? Happy WOYWW Elle #11, EOTC and also Happy Blog Along!
ReplyDeleteYour desk looks like it would be fun to sit there and create. Sorry about the lockdown again. Happy Spring.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit Susan. I love your steampunk card. Hope you’ll be out of lockdown soon and we can see pictures of you in the boat on the water. Numbers keep going up here and they’re not doing anything.
ReplyDeleteTake care and have a good week
Hugs
Hi Susan!
ReplyDeleteLovely crafting space-
Your cards on the desk are very beautiful.
And the painting is very inspiring!
Makes me wanna paint something too :)
Have a nice weekend!
Oh, I LOVE those cards you're making, just wonderful! And building a boat reminds me of my childhood (the neighbor boy - I think he was in his twenties back then - build a yacht in the shred behind the house, I loved to wonder in there and watch him being busy with - to me - mysterious 'things') Thanks for dropping by my blog the other day, enjoy your weekend, hug from Holland. ReplyDeleteOOh no Susan, I’m not skilled enough to have more than one idea on the go at once, whatever the discipline, I’m a one job at a time gal, and it’s very limiting! Boat building is high on my DH’s retirement work list, I hope Kevin gets a lot of pleasure from doing it, I know Bart will. I keep dangling it as a carrot to try to make him commit to at least cutting back!
