10th Annual Christmas in July Event with Bugaboo... Day 1

Christmas in July starts at Catch the Bug today!


Day 1's event has this photo inspiration:


I decided to make a card with an elf helping... using Candy Cane Elf


The first thing to do was to make the background in candy cane colours. I recently ordered a Honey Bee Stamps Die - Square Thin Frames





I ended up making two card blanks on teal bases.


I then simply added the image, printed, coloured with Copics and a touch of Wink of Stella, and then cut out.




Finally I added the sentiment - this is a sentiment from Imagine That Digistamps, printed, trimmed and edged with faux stitching using a fineliner.


 


I will also add this to Leigh's Christmas in July Hop
