Today I am showing you some more of my main 31DOH project illustrating
I posted the last few pages on Day 22 and finished with:
Here are the next few pages:
The first edition of The Hunting of The Snark was illustrated by Henry Holiday - the first three pages show his pictures of the Bellman, Baker and Billiard Marker which I used in ATCs. (Assorted backgrounds on the ATCs - scraps from my Worktable)
The papers used are from Tim Holtz or The Other Side (Craft Box).
On the left hand side of the next double page is a piece of background made in the same way as the cover - using acrylics and alcohol. I added a face with a fineliner...
As the poem gives no idea of what a Snark looks like (nor did Henry Holiday as Lewis Carroll wanted to leave it to the imagination), my idea is to add some pages with ideas of what a Snark might look like...
The left hand side here has a Brusho background with a Visible Image stamp embossed in black upon it.
The next page show another of Henry Holiday's illustrations.
This monster appeared when an acrylic pour was done on photograph paper.
Finally another ATC using a Henry Holiday picture of the Banker.
More soon...
