was that often we don't get around to decorating out journal covers...
so I thought I better rectify this with this A5 one...
Initially I used similar techniques as with Sharon's class...
However I then started decorating my die cuts using some techniques mentioned in a 'Live' at Hillbilly Scrappin I added extra colour around the edges of the die cuts using a wash of spritzed Distress Crayon.
I then added Distress Crayon through a Tim Holtz stencil...
...and spread it into the shapes with a dryish baby wipe.
I used a silver paint pen to emphasize these.
And as a final touch, I added gesso through another Tim Holtz stencil.
When dry I arranged the pieces on my cover - and this is when things went awry...
I had a bit of trouble with my dots from the black Perlen Pen.
I used that Tim Holtz create die again...
So - apart from my dots - quite happy...
I think the dots are perfect! I love the techniques you used and the "create" die is awesome! I will be catching up on commenting...the kids and I have been having a stay at home vacation watching movies and playing lots of video games! Everyone is back to work tomorrow so my crafty games can begin :)
