Here's my desk picture for WOYWW 584!
Not a lot different from last week...but you might be able to spot...
Some Boom Gel Stain - going to have a little pour when I get the opportunity!
A paper pack with a 'hello' card on it - this was a prize for the 'chocolate box' I made earlier this week
The things hanging from the door knobs...cross stitched book marks made by my aunt.
And teeny tiny water fountains.

My brother puts together lots of Metcalfe kits for railway layouts - he then sells them on ebay. He occasionally gives me one to do...this was an N Gauge signal box set that I did in September:
Anyway he just sent me this minikit, also N Gauge.
I added some texture paste to the bases to give a water effect.

Not done any more of my cross-stitch but I have made more masks - I sent these to my daughter:
And these to my son and granddaughters:
We are not much further than completing the first week of Stage 4 restrictions - and the figures overnight are still pretty horrifying - so there's no end in sight...
So my husband is still finding things to occupy himself...this was a thing made from driftwood:

ReplyDeleteYes, I've made masks for all ages and getting them right for littlies is quite tricky if they're to fit properly. Love the fabrics you've used especially the rainbow one! So important at the moment, everyone seems to think we'll have another spike in October here.

That is funny about the craft room! I do love those miniature water fountains - would go nicely with a village scene of paper houses. Nice to see photos of your family - even if they're wearing masks. Do children have to wear them too? Here it's only compulsory for over 11's, but I guess the little ones would feel left out if they didn't get one! Looks like we might have a second wave here too, though some people are in denial as if that would make it go away. They think it's a big hoax - I don't understand people sometimes. Great job on the completion of all of those masks! I have many cut out but not finished. I hate it when I have to stop and thread the bobbin!

Ooh I love the co-ordinating hair band and mask, really stylish. Sadly. I don't have an grand daughters to make these for, and think I would be a bit unwilling to appear in public like that.

ReplyDeleteI used to have a big table which always was covered... In this craft room I onley have various surfaces - easier if I keep tidying up. However if I took a photo or three now...
DeleteI did smile about the craftroom it's only since my Daughter left home that I actually have my own room to close the door on, the cool corner is actually in my kitchen, it's been my main crafty area for years and years... Great masks you made for the family, i've been doing the same but there's enough made for the moment. I hope you get to enjoy the pouring soon, I heard about the restrictions and hope it all goes away as quick as it came. The UK especially England has suffered horrendously. ReplyDeleteI had to look hard for the water fountains in your desk shot, couldnt really work out what I was looking for. But so obvious really! Love the bookmarks from your Aunt, how sweet. Tell me, do you sit or stand to create? If you sit..do you open the cupboard doors for your knees to go under?!! Wonderful collection of masks. The rate this is going, your lovely grandchildren will have grown into them before we’re clear!
