Blog Along with Effy - Post Ten

If you have been reading some of my posts you will know that when I saw Effy's Blog Along I thought I would share some 'diary' posts, along with some of the journal pages I have been pleased with.  I am enjoying taking a trip down Memory Lane! Today's memories are good and bad... April 11th was the date my Dad left the Navy (or joined it - I can't quite remember). 40 years ago today my brother Andrew married his wife Kathryn, so today is their Ruby wedding. 43 years ago today I had a crash in my lovely little flame MG Midget, wrote it off and ended up in hospital for 3 months with a fractured pelvis...

So once again I am just going to share a journal page.

Thanks to Angela's post the other day I found the

which led me to

I took the image and cut it out from her background, adding to her my background formed with paint, stencils and stamps. I added black Stabilo pencil around her and added water with gave a shadow effect.

I then stencilled the window so that she was behind the frame.
Finally I added the Tim Holtz sentiment.

Happy Crafting!

  4. Beautiful page. The frame reminds me of the little shrines built into walls in Italy.

  6. Thankyou for the inspiration. I seem to have a huge block about putting too much stuff on the page. This has inspired me to try for busier pages, and layers.
